Anyone know about how long it will take to drive from Universal Studios to WDW on a weekday morning say leaving sometime between 6:45 and 7:15? Thanks.

Universal is around exit 75. The first Disney exit is 67. There is no traffic that time of day. Not sure where you are staying, or going but 20 mins most likely from door to parking lot. Unless you are going to AK. Would take a few mins longer.

I would take Turkey Lake Road/Palm Parkway to ApopkaVineland to Downtown Disney...you wouldn't even have to deal with I-4 at all.

The amount of time spent in traffic lights is silly. Stick to I-4 at that time of day. Don't use the backroads until later in the day.

I use Turkey Lake except during rush hours. It is horrible during that time because of the traffic light on Sand lake and Turkey Lake. You can easily sit through the light 7 or 8 times during rush hour traffic.

We would always go by Turkey Lake, took us 12 mins to Crossroads from RPR.

thanks todd:thumbsup2 DH didn't believe me there had to be a non hi-way route that was viable...next turn i get stuck driving im trying it

i've taken to scooting around the back way in WDW from Wilderness lodge area: past the campground, what looks like Disney receiving area & then golf course by SSR...saves alot of time imo-u miss DTD all together, course i can't remember the road names

i still think there may be yet another way in closer to MK...probably an unmarked road with armed checkpoints ;)
