Hi everyone,
We always go to Crystal Palace at our first nite at WDW. We love the dinner buffet and usually make ADR's for 6:00 pm. It always seems to have a wait and this year we are going on 10/19 at 6:15pm and are not staying for MNSSHP, so are concerned about getting out really late. Has anyone been recent and not had too bad of a wait? Thanks, Linda

We love dinner at CP, too. The crowds are awful at closing, so we try to leave a couple hours before closing, to beat the mad dash.

I'll be totally honest and say you may want to reconsider your dinner date. The last time we ate at CP was on a MVMCP night early last December. We had one of the last seatings before the party began (6:15ish). CP is not open during the party, so we were essentially some of the last people there that night. The buffet was horrible. The food was essentially leftovers. They were no longer stocking the buffet and the servers were almost totally absent. The floors and tables around us were disgustingly dirty. Plates were not being cleared at our table, and I had to move them to an empty table so we could have space. We have been going to CP at least once every visit since DS was a baby (we're talking 10 years, at least 3 times a year) this last visit was so bad, we won't try it again. We were horribly disappointed.

This year we chose to have a big lunch instead of dinner the night of the party. We will go back to the resort and rest have a light dinner at the resort early then go to the party.

We were very dissapointed by CP last yr, not only was the wait horrible but so was the food! I heard amazing things about it but then the food was cold, they werent replenishing it at all so there wasnt much of a variety and this was only around 7. Service and characters were great but w/o the food just not worth it IMHO.
We normally eat outside MK for TS but Im giving it another try and trying Tonys I just cant see wasting a TS credit on sandwhiches at the Plaza and stouffers type food (LTT) is just not my DH thing..

we were there in September (hubby and myself) and then in May (hubyb, me, our son, daughter in law, and two kids...4. 5 ...we waited all of ten minutes from the time I checked in....there are always alot of people waiting ....

We enjoyed the food as well as our server who was very attentive to the kids likes and dislikes......even went out and got a hot dog in a bun for our granddaughter...He wished us all a happy anniversary and kept the drinks filled for all.......
