Standard view is usually difficult to get at 7 months out year round. Month of June and through July 5 is Aulani's second highest demand season of the year (Christmas week is first) and there can be difficulty getting anything at 7 months out, particularly if seeking multiple days, although chances are better (but not high) for Ocean View. From July 6 to August 8 (premier season dates at Aulani), ocean view is usually open, and there is often a good chance for Island/garden and poolside/garden views (what often happens with those is that one may be full while the other is open), although the chances are somewhat less for studios rather than 2BRs. The rest of Aug is usually somewhat more difficult than early August although Ocean view is usually open.
That is past history. What cannot be determined is the impact of resort closure this year on reservations next year. Assuming Aulani is open next year, you may have many who will be seeking June to August times with banked or replaced borrowed points from this year relating to trips they could not make this year and thus a possible increase in usual demand in 2021. However, there is also a chance for some decrease resulting from adverse economic hits taken by many members and fear of coronavirus if a vaccination does not exist before then.
