We have booked w/ a towncar service for next week. But, if for some reason the company would not show up at the airport could we go to Mears and use them? Or do you have to book w/ Mears in advance? Two years ago we used Mears, but it took forever on the bus w/ multiple stops. So this time we decided to try the towncar/van but I just worry that the driver wont show. So, is going to the Mears window an option? Thank you....

You do not need to book Mears in advance. Just go to their counter and tell them where you want to go. You can purchase your tickets right there.

FWIW, I'm sure your towncar driver will show up. Considering the numbers of people that use them, there have been only a small number of problems. It's certainly good to have a back up plan, but IMHO, that is all it will turn out to be. If you are worried, call the company a day or two before you depart and confirm your arrangements. Enjoy your trip!

Carol is right. I've used a town car service on several trips and have never had a problem -- even when snowstorms interfered with our arrival. I would give them a call the day before just to confirm everything (watching your posts, I know you're as much of a type-A vacation planner as I am) and that should put you mind at ease. If, for some reason, your driver isn't there -- I'd call the service before heading over to Mears.

Thanks-makes me feel better!! Your right, I have to be one step ahead all the time (makes my family crazy). Maybe, we will run into you next week (I'll be the crazy lady w/ DH and 3 children. (LOL)
