Altered Paperclip swap- COMPLETE

Thanks ladies! wish paper clips are better, the polish ones or the anti slip ones? I had no ides there was such a thing as polish ones. I'm thinking those will slide right out of the scrapbook page.

I've just used what I found, didn't realize there was a difference...I had some that did move around so just attached them to the back of what I was clipping it too with a glue dot.

How about putting me down for any two of the 2nd WS group that remain unfilled? This is my first swap and I will do whatever is left. Are there due dates for this swap yet because I am leaving town tomorrow until July 30.

Never mind about the date question...I see it now. That should give me plenty of time to do my clips when I get back to Florida.

Sounds great Heather! I got you signed up for Norway and Italy. Is there any other groups you would like to sign up for? Thanks for joining the swap!

I think it is best if I just stick to two countries in one world showcase group. I would hate to try to overextend myself on my first swap, especially since I am going to be gone for 2.5 weeks.

If you just give me a couple of countries that no one else seems to want I will make a go of it!

Do you think we should split the other countries between those already in the world showcase group? I would be willing to take another country if we can get a complete set. Just a thought.

Sorry.....I forgot to say hi to all my dis friends. I know its been a while.....but things are finally back to normal....whatever that might be :crazy2:

This swap closes tonight at 8pm. If no on else signs up for the second WS group then we can split the remaining four countries amoung those of us in that group. I will take another country also. We can just see how it plays out today and see if anyone else wants to join!

If we do need to each take an extra country in the Wshowcase group, could I please have Mexico? I already have an idea and some supplies I can use ;) I'm only asking now because I will be leaving shortly and won't be home to have computer access until sometime Sunday night.

Hopefully we can fill the group up, though.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi tyniknate~

Sounds greatl! Sheila if you'd like a spot in that group it's yours. Do you know which character you would like. I think I a,m going to join that group too....just have to decide on a character.

Hi Nan! (and Lisa)....things are good. Boys are growing like weeds. My DS13 grew 6 1/2 " during the school year this year. I swear that if you stood quitely beside him you could hear the bones growing! He is now taller than everyone in the family (including his dad and his older brother!). He is going into 8th grade and I'm so proud to say that he made the National Honor Society this year. I'm one proud momma!

DS7 is my little jumping bean. Its so sad to know that my baby isn't a baby anymore. He loves school and can't wait to go back from summer vacation. He joined cub scouts (he told me he had been waiting his whole life to be old enough to join - LOL!) and they talked me into being his den leader. I swore to myself that I would never do it again, but how can I say no to that little face? Anyway....they keep me hopping. Twelve 7-yr-olds are quite a handful.

My oldest is a senior this fall. He is starting to look at colleges, but I think it's going to be a fight. He wants to go to a smaller private college, but my purse isn't that big. In fact, I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to contribute at all. DH has finally gone back to steady hours at work, but the past couple years of uncertain hours has really taken a toll financially. How do you tell your 17-yr old that a $38,000 a year college isn't going to happen? Makes me feel like a terrible parent. I could use any suggestions you are willing to give on the whole college thing. This is my first time through and I'm dreading it already.

Anyway, how is everyone else? I've been keeping an eye and peeking in at the board during the last couple months, but I haven't really been ready to commit to coming back until now. Glad to see some familiar faces.....and lots of new ones!

wow your boys are keeping you busy! have fun being a den mom again! great the boys are doing so well in school! hope you can figure out something for college for your oldest....you do need to pick Nan and Cheryl's brain since they are both sending off their girls soon! you are not a terrible mom, sure the stress the last couple of years with $$ has been hard and you needed to live, not worry about college at the time.

we have been doing good, Megan starts 7th grade in Sept and looking forward to it...just auditioned for her performance team at dance and made it, so will be extra classes and performances throughout the year and performing at DLR in January :cool1: we are enjoying our summer break and heading to GA/SC/NC in just over 3 weeks to visit DIS and nonDIS friends.

How about Tink for that group?

Stephanie my groups are good and have sent you my info....just one thing, on the two W/S groups we should be making 6 sets of each country not 12 since there are 6 swappers in those groups....didn't want anyone new to this swap to make more than is needed!

great job on the sign-ups and thanks for hostessing!

Thanks for that Lisa! I guess I just went down the line last night and wrote the number of participants in each group. I just counted and went..... I will change that now.
