Al's Toy Barn

Can someone tell me what Al's Toy Barn is? Is it still open? If so, is it good?

I have a 2004 Passporter and it lists it as an attraction. Al's Toy Barn is located between the Backlot Theater and Mama Melrose.

Al's Toy Barn is where you can see the Toy Story characters for Meet N Greet at MGM. We've seen everyone from Buzz, Woody, Jesse, Bullzeye, Green Army Men and I think Mr. Potato Head.

It is not an attraction. It is just an outdoor backdrop that looks like the front of Al's Toy Barn from Toy Story where you can meet and greet the movies characters. We were disappointed that they didn't turn it in to a real toy store.

It is a facade of Al's Toy Barn and just to the right of it is a large (about half lifesize) replica of Buzz Lightyear's space ship. It is located behind Streets of America and Muphets 3D. It is kind of a small area, just for photo ops. Buzz comes out and does his photo's next to his space ship and Woody and another character (Green Army Man last time we were there) do photo ops in front of Al's Toy Barn.

Here are a few pics. DS (3 1/2 at the time) didn't want to take pic's with the characters. Just after I took these, Woody, Buzz and a Green Army Man came out. It was timed pretty good, because within a minute of them coming out, Muphets 3D ended and lines filled quickly.

You can meet Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullzeye, and Green Army Man. Little Bow Peep and Mr. Potato Head use to be out, now there really rare.
