Alright, Alright - I gotta know.... what DOES Beverly @ Ice Station Cool taste like?

how is it i've been to WDW twice in the past 4 years and never went into 'ice station cool'?? I thought it was just a place where the AC was cranking to 'cool' you down?

hmm..might have to drag my new hubby through there when we go next.

Its a combo between tylenol and spit.

It is gross. Wash it down with lots of watermelon soda afterwards.

My fav thing is to get the newbies to drink this. Its the best thing next to feeding peanut butter to the dog or putting scotch tape on the bottom of the cats paws. Tons of fun!

I love just hanging around there watching peoples’ reactions when they try it. One time I saw an elderly couple walking out of there and the man said to his wife, “Italy was so bad that I had to wash it down with China!”

I found Beverly to not be that bad at first and the more I tasted it the more I enjoyed sipping it. It is like a strong tonic water with a bit of sweetness.
I saw a program about Moxie soda and then found it on www.hometownfavorites and bought a 6 pack. That is a very odd soft drink but that also grew on me.

My 15 yo DD said it tasted like "pure evil". Her further comments were, "I bet this is what Mussolini drank! 'Beverly' was probably his mother."
Now, at our house, when we speak of the Italian soda, we simply refer to it as, "Mussolini's mother".

There is a soft drink in Maine called Moxie. I have family there and they had me try this once and IT'S BEYOND GROSS (it too taste like some type of medicine)!!!

I am born bread and live in Maine and grew up on Moxie....Moxie is Crest and Coke mixed together. It takes some getting used to. It helps us Mainers figure out who is really a Mainer and who is "from away".

I read on another WDW site (WDWIG maybe) that they are in the process of finding new sodas to replace the old ones with ..so you crazy Beverly fans might want to get 1 more sip. Not sure when/if this is happening.
