Already sold out for Sept?!

I have been pricing out a couple different weeks in September for our family of 5 at the Beach Club, but the 2nd and 3rd week are now showing sold out. Isn't it a bit early for Sept sell outs? Do you think they just do not have all the rooms released? I had preferred to book over these unavailable times, so now I'm wondering if I should be patient and wait for some availability, or rush to book the first week, in fear that it too will become fully booked?

I just thought it was so odd!

Not necessarily. The Beach Club is a conference resort, and that is around the start of Food & Wine.

If there's just 1 or 2 nights that are booked during your dates, it will show no availability for the whole week. If going the first week is an option, you might want to book that just in case nothing becomes available for the other weeks. With that said, I'd keep checking for the 2nd and 3rd week as sometimes availability does change. Good luck.

I totally forgot it was a conference resort. Is there a site to see what conferences are booked at the resorts, and their dates? Hm. I shall investigate!

AFA the F&W Fest, isn't the soft opening during the last week of Sept? I mean, I'd be kind of happy to run into it but I don't think any of our dates are late enough in the month. :/

Good advice. Thanks. I really don't want to worry about cancelling and rebooking nonsense, but if I must, I must.

You might also want to try the other travel sites like Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia. They sometimes show availability when WDW doesn't and bonus if you use Orbitz they often have additional discounts.

Yacht Club rooms are set to undergo refurbishment this year, so I think they have blocks of those that are not released for booking later this year. That makes Beach Club more full. I would absolutely book now and then switch if what you really want becomes available. I had to do that last year and it was not a problem. If you can afford the 2nd deposit it is easy- I just went ahead and booked the room I wanted when it became available, and after I had it absolutely secured and a confirmation by E-mail, then I went and cancelled the other room. Last year F&W started September 25 I think.

Good luck! I hope everything works out for the weeks you want :).

This is because they're entirely separate inventory.

I had a bad experience with one of those sites losing our reservation.. Even with the printed confirmation, the hotel had no record. I think it was travelocity, but it has made me decide to not book with them again.
