your vacation on normally?

I know I try to never start on a Sunday. So what days have you started your vacation?

Do you really start on Sunday as some say DVC says most do?

Also, are you more inclined to stay for 7 days or more or less than 7 days?

I have no set start for my vacations. I can get any day to fit into a schedule.

I typically do my DVC check in on Sunday but I check into WDW on Saturday with a 1 night stay somewhere on site.

We generally take 2 trips a year: One beginning on Sunday and leaving on Friday or Saturday (5 or 6 days), the 2nd beginning on Thursday and leaving on the following Friday or Saturday (9 or 10 days).

We generally check-in on a Tuesday, as we drive and can get through Houston on a Sunday morning when the traffic is less.

We usually checkin on Sunday. Saturday we'll take a leisurely drive down and stay at the Embassy Suites in Altamonte Springs and then half hour drive to Disney on Sunday morning then we'll check out on Saturday, hang around Disney most of the day and drive half way home Sat night.

We've also left home on Fri afternoon and checked in at Disney on Saturday, staying till Saturday.

We usually check in on a Saturday. As we're usually staying for a full week, that way it gets us home the following Saturday night with a Sunday to prep before going back to the grind of real life.

I usually stay at WDW from Friday to Friday. But due to the high point cost on Friday & Saturday, I'll usually stay at Pop Century for the 1st 2 nights, then check in at DVC on Sunday.

We always check in on Monday's and leave either Friday or Saturday. My job requires me to be on call every other week beginning on Monday so we cant travel before that.

We have no typical day, it depends on many circumstances since we typically stay 10-12 nights. I voted for Friday since our Dec 08 vacation is starting then and we have decided that we will also probably start our May 08vacation then in light of the new booking policy. -- Suzanne

We ussually start our vacations on Friday, but our first two nights are at Hard Rock Hotel, then checking into DVC on Sunday through Sunday, for nice 10 day vacation.

So NOW... most likey we will book DVC for the first weekend, through Friday, and stay at the Hard Rock at the end.

For our summer HHI trip, we pay cash for Saturday night, and points for the rest of the week. (Sat nights are 99 points!!! lol)

Usually, we do Sat-Sat as it's easier for my kids to be out of school for a full week if we go in December.

However, I have done a Friday checkin because we had an extra day off there.
And I have done Weds-Weds because airfare was cheaper.

But I think for the most part we will continue to be Sat-Sat.

We used to go Sat-Sat though lately we've been doing Fri-Sun (10 day trips) We're being "weird" this year...one Sat-Fri and one Fri-Sat!

Almost exclusively Sunday to Friday. Living so close there really is no reason to stay a full week.
