My booking window opened last night, and I decided to step outside the box (for me) and sign up for a spa treatment. I chose "Alone Time" mainly based on the name! According to the description, I will get to choose a treatment from a set list and then spend the remaining time "in the Spa Villa." So what does that entail? Will I be in a private room or a shared space (like the Rainforest Room?). What is there to do? Also, for those who've done this, which treatments are your faves? Thanks for any input as I'm pretty much a spa virgin!

ETA: Just noticed that the number of days in my count-down ticker is not correct. I'll have to figure out what's going on there.

That's shared time in the facilities in the Spa.

At the Vista Spa, there's the Tropical Rainforest Room where you can relax on the heated tile lounge chairs, enjoy an aromatherapy scented session in a steam room and refresh yourself in an aromatic mist and rainfall shower.

Disney Fantasy is incorrect and obviously has never done the Alone time spa treatment. I've done it 4 times and absolutely love it. It's the only treatment I do and I was quite bummed when they didn't build the single spa villas on the Dream class ships, they only have couple villas. Below is what the Alone Time treatment entails:

* you meet your attendant in lobby and choose your treatment, then you are taken to the locker room to change into a robe. You can choose to wear a bathing suit or not.
* you are then escorted to the single spa villa which has a indoor treatment room with massage table and a balcony with a comfy full-size sunbed and a huge jacuzzi tub.
* The attendant leaves you out on the balcony for some jacuzzi time while they prepare the the treatment room.
* You are then brought in for your chosen treatment
* After the treatment you are escorted back out to the balcony where you relax on the sunbed for about for sometime. Your asks for your choice in beverages: tea or infused water. They will bring out your beverage and plate of delicious chocolate covered strawberries.
* you then just relax, enjoy your snack a the gorgeous view of the sea until the attendant comes to tell you times up and escorts you back to the locker room

As I said it's my favorite treatment and so relaxing. For my treatment I usually choose one of the massages. I believe I've done the hot stone and the swedish. I usually plan it for near the end of the cruise to give me a little me time. It's truly relaxing.
If you don't want to be bothered with the attendant trying to hard sell you products which can be a pain after such a relaxing time, on the forms they have you sign at the beginning just just write that you are not interested in buying products.

I just did the Alone time on the Wonder earlier this month. KaseyC described it perfectly!

I was also bummed this isn't an option on the Dream or Fantasy but have enjoyed it on the Wonder and Magic. I have done the body scrub (lime and ginger) with massage. Only a 1/2 body massage is standard with the package but I usually ask to upgrade to a full body massage and they have been able to do that. If you want to do that, I suggest stopping at the spa the first day and asking.

It is very relaxing- enjoy!!

Good to know about being able to upgrade to the full body. Will plan on doing that the next time I book Alone time.

Yup - KaseyC described it perfectly. I book it every cruise and it's my treat to me :cloud9:. I believe there used to be the option to upgrade once you got on board to a longer treatment time with more options. I didn't do that the last time and I'm not sure if it was still available. The upgraded experience included a massage and a body treatment plus time in the jacuzzi an a foot bathing ritual. Enjoy - You will love the experience

Here are some photos I took back in 09 -

I absolutely love the Alone Time! I have also upgraded with a mini facial along with the massage. This is the one thing I do that is just for me and really does make me feel special. Funny story though...our last cruise was on the EBPC during Hurricane Odile. Of course my Alone time had to be on one of the days with rough seas. But even after getting hit in the face with hot water in the hot tub (yes, I did get out after a few minutes) and holding on for dear life during the massage (and getting the giggles with the therapist as she tried to keep her footing) it was a fabulous time. I have done it on the last several cruises and am booked on our next cruise in October. Hopefully, minus any hurricanes! Highly recommend it! Enjoy!

WOW -- After reading the descriptions and seeing the photos, I am really excited about this! Thanks so much for the 411!

Not to hijack, but does anyone know what treatments are done in the couples villas on the Dream class ships?
