Did you have the not so terrific crow infestation problem that we did last week? We had one of the best visits ever and can't wait to return but most of the time, there were 20 or more wet crow droppings on our railing and balcony. I would cover the whole area with bath towels and our housekeeper said that they just couldn't keep up with the mess. The birds would start arriving at about 6am and begin "cawing" from the eaves and stay until about 6pm. We've stayed there many times and the CMs told me that the serious crow issue is new and that housekeeping and building management are working on it. Apparently, there is no problem on the gardeview side. Other than this, we were SO happy with our Poly LVC stay. Threehearts
- by the way, we were in room 3514 which we loved.

Yes. We were in #3513 from 8/13-16. It reminded me of the movie "The Birds".

No problems with crows during our stay:August 20-24th.

We haven't been there since May but I did notice many crows for the first time I can remember.

We were lucky though and had no problems with droppings on our LV lanai in Hawaii. Not even duck droppings this trip.

Threehearts -

We were in 3505 and definitely noticed the crow 'issue'. They did leave 'presents' on our balcony, and the wire that stretches across the railing does not stop them from hanging-out for a while. It didn't bother us much though ... in fact they became interesting to watch, but I could see how they could potentially become a significant problem. They were everywhere ... at the volcano pool, we watched a crow attempt to fly off with someone's pack of cigarettes (who knew they'd like those) and we watched several people's towels receive 'gifts' while they were swimming.

More pleasant than the crows were the ducks, which swarmed right below our balcony ... they were great to watch. And we saw a cat again - which we'd seen on our last trip for the first time. It was in the shrubs below our room one night, and the next it was on the volcano pool side of samoa.

That's about it for the wildlife.

I wonder if this is a recent problem? We were there in early July, room #3517, and didn't see any crows at all.

Last year we were in LVC 1st floor room and didn't see any crows but were overwhelmed by the ducks. Opening the slider was an alarm call to them. We never did feed them. Figured maybe if we didn't incourage them they would go away. Didn't happen. They stayed and left all sorts of gifts for us. Housekeeping took care of it the first day and then never did after that. We just wore our shoes out on the patio.

Still worth staying LVC. Minor inconvience. Such a pretty view!

We were there the 23rd thru 30th in building 36 and had an occasional crow on the eaves but no 'crow problem'.
