My other question is about Tahiti and transportation. It is easier to get the monorail from the TTC than to walk to the GCH right? So if I walk to the TTC, there is a direct monorail (as well as the ferry) that goes straight to the MK (and the same for the way back?) And if I wanted to get to the GF from Tahiti, can I also walk to the TTC to catch the resort loop, or is it better just to walk to the GCH? I only used the TTC last year to go to Epcot so I wasn't paying attention to the other travel options :goodvibes

Happy Sunday everyone! :grouphug:

For the trip to GF, I would suggest walking to GCH and taking the monorail from there...otherwise, you're gonna get on at TTC and have to stop at GCH. I love the walk thru Poly anyway - gets me in the relaxed mood.

And, yes, the MK loop monorail from TTC is direct (it will smoke right thru the Contemporary).

Wish I were having Tonga Toast right about now...

Thank you for all those lovely pics. We got 28.5 inches yesterday and we're expecting another foot of snow Tuesday/Wednesday. We received 2 feet of snow right before Xmas too!! I'm over snow and ready for spring and our trip to the Poly!!
The Tonga toast looks so good but I don't like bananas so I don't think I would like it.

Thanks for all the well wishes! My fiance and I appreciate it!:goodvibes

Ok enough with the tonga toast pix. I LOVE tonga toast but I'm on a diet and just seeing it is killing my diet LOL!!!

No... keep the pix comming. Give me motivation to save my calories and use them all up at the Poly!

Glad to hear I'm not completely losing my mind. :rotfl: I know that in the evening the Neverland Club is childcare for parents to drop off their kids, and I'm definitely planning to do that. DD had so much fun at the Cub's Den on our last trip that she's asking if she can go to the Neverland Club every night of our next trip. And we're staying 8 nights! I think I'd have to take out a second mortgage to afford that, but I will pick 2 nights for her to go. I was thinking I'd read somewhere about activities there during the day. They must have changed that.

Thanks BreezysMom for posting the November activities. We're going in August and my plan is to head back to the resort mid-day to escape the worst of the heat. I was hoping for some fun activities for DD. I'm sure we'll spend plenty of time at the pool and I definitely want to check out the hula lessons, but it looks like there will be plenty of other things to keep us busy.

You probably saw that on allears because that is where I saw it, on the Child care FAQ

Do a search with info below. That is the thread and it has a link. My DH downloaded it to my desktop. I use it all the time. Good luck!

Tiggspring, I got the link from someone on this thread months ago. I'll see if I can go back and find it and I'll PM you the link. You just have to upload the music onto your Ipod. The loop is all the music you hear when you're around the Poly. If you go to Tikiman's website and listen to the jukebox, it'll give you an idea of what's on the loop that I found. The only song I was disappointed to not hear was Hukilau. I just love that song! I'll see what I can dig up and get back to you :)

Tiggspring,
I don't have the link anymore so I did a search and the Mygoofy26 link has expired. I'm pretty sure I got the link from someone here on the Poly faq thread. I think it might have been Capt Barbosa. I'm sure if he checks in, he'll know :)

Well, I kept looking through this thread and found the link for the Poly loop music. I'm not sure if I can post the link, so if you're looking for it, I'd be happy to PM you :)

Thanks for solving the mystery for me, Tinkermom76! That's what I remembered seeing. It's good to know my brain hasn't completely failed me. :)

I'm loving these pictures everyone is posting. :lovestruc We got 10 inches of snow between Friday and Saturday and summer can't get here soon enough. (I know I shouldn't complain about 10 since a lot of people got more than twice that.)

Thanks Lissiesmum and mickey2minnie1 For the music info!!!:thumbsup2

I am planning to buy Four Parks one world before we go. Dont know How I missed that when we were at the parks :confused3

I have my Poly music going now too, and that Tonga Toast pic just about killed me! 5 more months! ARGH! Can't believe all the snow you folks received! We only have a few inches on the ground up here in Vermont, which is REALLY unusual for us. Athenna, I'm adding my congrats to the list (albeit a bit late)! So exciting - enjoy every moment of being engaged!

Thanks for the pic! That is a nice close up :thumbsup2

DH and DD asked for months for me to make them TT here at home and I finally did. :rolleyes1

They have never asked again :lmao: It just did not compare!

:rotfl: Now when they want some TT you can tell them to take you to WDW!!!:lmao:

Thanks for posting the daily photos -- I am really enjoying them!!!:goodvibes

I leave for the Poly next week and I am sooooooo excited, I can't even sleep at night! I am going with my kids- ds2 and dd6...hubby will meet us there 3 days later because he has to work!

Anyway, we actually just switched resorts from ASmu to Poly. I am reading through this great thread so I can be as prepared as possible when I arive. Here are my questions. I requested Tokelau over the phone. Do most of you check in online? If yes, will I know if my request was granted before I arrive at Poly? I am a bit nervous, as I have never traveled without my husband.

Also, my family really enjoys DTD. Is the bus ride from the Poly a long one? I am just trying to plan everything out and I don't have much time left. We usually stay offsite and rent a car. This transportation system is totally new to me!

I booked breakfast at Kona, and of course cannot get a ressie at Ohana for dinner:confused3 I am calling everyday and checking online to see if there have been any cancellations but so far nothing!

I would appreciate any tips and "must-do's" you may have for staying at the Poly with young kids:yay:
