Uh-oh! I don't see my favorite drink - the X-fusion lemonade on the board!!!! It was this past April when I discovered this YUMMY drink made with vodka, x-fusion liquor, and light lemonade. It was at the Barefoot pool bar and on the sign so that's how I knew to try it. I also saw it on other dining menus around DisneyWorld. By any chance, do you know if they are still serving this drink??

Oh yes...they are still serving it ;)

I just know this because I made a mental note and asked about it and had one, or two or ten....I can't remember :rolleyes1

You may just need to ask for it :thumbsup2

For those of you who have used DME how long did it take for your luggage to arrive at your room. We are staying at the Poly in January and will be arriving at the airport on the 12th around 7:30pm.

I would not expect it to be very busy that time of year and time of day and would hope our bags would arrive not long after we get to the resort.

The rule of thumb is about 3 hours and it could be a little less or more than that depending on how busy they are with the ME luggage. There was one time where within 30 minutes of us checking in at the Poly, Bell Services arrived at our room with our bags. That's the exception though. :thumbsup2

We normally got ours in less than the 3 hour window they advise, but we go during the off-season. Once we got our luggage really early, in less than an hour, when we stayed Club Level at the Grand Floridian, but I doubt the resort and/or level has anything to do with how quickly you get your luggage.

YEAH!!!! Whew, I was worried for a moment but thanks for taking one for the team :lmao:

I use ME each time I visit BUT I grab my own bags. I do have 2 young children to schlep and the luggage but I have the hubby there too. I like having my luggage with me when I check in and don't find it a bother to bring the luggage from the baggage claim to the coach and then from the coach to my room. Especially if there is a long line to check in for ME, the others in your party can get the bags.

This is just my two cents and what I like to do!

Aloha everyone!

DH and I are back from our 20th Anniversary trip and first Poly stay! OMG we had the BEST time! We were in Tokelau, 3rd floor GV but if we looked to the left while on the balcony, we could see Space Mt and the Contemporary through the palm tree tops. We absolutely LOVED everything about the resort! It was lush, quiet, and wonderfully romantic! Every CM we came across was pleasant and we got more "Alohas" than I can count! We loved the room and especially the balcony for morning coffee and afternoon drinks; although having 2 sinks in the bathroom would have been nice in the morning. Ate at Kona the first night and had a terrific waitress who delivered a wonderful, unexpected dessert served on a celebration plate. Very nice!

I never thought that being on the monorail would ever be a big deal, but boy was I wrong! It was awesome just hopping on the monorail all the time. We really only went to MK and Epcot, so it was wonderfully convenient.

There was a little beach right at the end of Tokelau that was always deserted, so DH and I had a hammock to ourselves most nights. I just remember laying there with DH, staring through the palm trees at the full moon, the ferry all lit up, the Contemporary, Space Mountain, and (best of all!) the castle over the lake, and thinking I had died and gone to heaven!

It definitely was THE most romantic vacation we have ever had together!! I originally thought staying at the Poly would have to be a "once in a lifetime" experience, but I am hooked now and can't wait to go back!!

The saddest part is that it's over already!

Aloha!
Sammy

Sammy - I'm so glad you had a great trip! Isn't it always over too soon? The only time I didn't feel like that (too much) was on our 13 day trip in 2008. Even then I could have stayed longer!

So glad you had a wonderful time! The Poly is so magical.:cloud9:

DH and I are trying to go back for a few days late spring early summer for our 20th. It would only be for 3 or 4 nights though. It is never long enough.

I've stayed at several of the Disney resorts, and this was by far the most "magical!" Although that may have everything to do with the fact it was only DH and I this time . We were only there for 4 nights and I certainly was not ready to leave when it was time!

I hope you can make it for your 20th!

I don't have a response to anything or a question to ask, I'm just ridiculously excited because I'm leaving on the 25th and staying at Poly and just wanted to tell everyone :)

Sammy, welcome back! I am so happy you had a great time!

Thanks BreezysMom! I was fearful that the Polynesian would not live up to the hype I had built up in my mind, but it actually exceeded my expectations. DH was floored when I surprised him in the Orlando airport with the check-in paperwork (he thought we were staying at our "home", OKW). I've never seen him smile so much as he did on the ME ride to the resort!!!

That sounds wonderful. I'm so glad you had a great time. We're going in part for our 10th anniversary. Although we're taking along three kids, so I don't know that it will be as romantic as yours. :)

:)A little Photo Therapy for you all!!
