oh I just posted about that horrible h not going to say it 1 illness..I was saying how it is ruining my happy dance..i am so nervous about it..mostly just the plane I think...

I have a chance to get my asthmatic ds5 the vaccine tomorrow..which would be good before we get to the world...but i am still debating..

I think I am loading up on airborne a week before we leave!! I have already done the vitamin c..how much can you give kids ..does anyone know?

Oh positive thoughts..i can't wait for the poly..i can't wait for the poly.....yay poly ....booooo..h not speaking the horrible name 1.

Good luck for those of you going soon.. H1N1 is running rampant around here... Several co-workers and their families are down with it. I am almost hoping we get it so we can get it and get over it... My co-worker who has it is suppose to leave on Friday for WDW... Her whole family is loaded up on tamiflu...

I'm so excited! We just booked a lagoon view club level room for May 10-15 with a 40% off pin I got in an email. I absolutely cannot wait. I never thought I'd get to stay at the Poly, and my BF's parents are giving it to us as a graduation present. :cool1:

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
The Polynesian is such an amazing resort! I got hooked on it the first time that I stayed there in 2004!

May 10 - 15 2010?! My family and I will be there from April 29 - May 11 2010, so I guess we will be leaving when you are just arriving basically!

I hope you have an amazing vacation!!!

We do leave on Friday and it is running rampant by us too. :scared1: I'm very nervous. I've been loading everyone up with Purell and Vitamin C and Airbornne. If I can just get everyone well onto that plane, if we get it there, then we get it there. I'd rather be at the Poly with h1n1 then at home with h1n1. I really wanted the kids to get it about 2 weeks ago, but no luck! Is that mean of me:confused3

I understand everyone's fears with the disease which shall not be named. ;) I'm not supposed to get a flu shot due to other health reasons, but it worries me. I'm taking lots of vitamins, will be getting some Airborne, trying to stay away from anyone who is sick, and just generally taking good care of myself. We do not have any children, and DH is usually healthy as a horse, so I'm hoping all will be well. I considered getting a mask to wear on the plane, but they're uncomfortable, so I think I may just chance it and hope for the best. We leave in just over 2 weeks. :woohoo:

We just got back on Monday. It was a little cool, but other wise a wonderful trip.

We were in Tuvalu 3405 with a MK view. The room was very nice. We found it very spacious, even with a pack & play. The balcony was excellent. We watched Wishes and Hallowishes everynight (except the night we were at MNSSHP). We could hear the Luau every night, but it wasn't really bothersome. Once the electric light pageant started we kind of blocked it out.

Mousekeeping was very good. We even had a towel animal upon arrival. They kept us fully stocked with extra towels and were great about tidying up our messy room (two toddlers).

We had breakfast at O'hana, excellent as usual. Dinner at Kona, it was wonderful! and lunch at Captain Cooks. We found Captain Cooks to be a little crazy, so we only ate there once.

There were monorail troubles while we were there and we found the alternative buses to be VERY slow. We even had to get a cab one morning just to make to Chef Mickeys for our ADR.

All in all, it was a wonderful visit. Not long enough and I can't wait to go back again! And I would recommend Tuvalu. It was the perfect distance to the Great Ceremonial House, the pool, and the boat to MK.

I am going to add my trip review from October 3-12th. The first post has all of my pictures and review of our stay, please enjoy and pm me if you have any questions :goodvibes

What a great review! Thanks for posting the link. When we last stayed at the Poly, we had a third floor room and didn't have any noise issues. I think that a patio would be great, though. We're booked club level at this time for our trip next year and I'm worried about getting a second floor room. We tend to spend a lot of time on the balcony after the kids have gone to bed.

We have been lucky with our requests and always recieved them. Your best bet is to add them onto your reservation-say 1st or 3rd floor room. They try their best to accomodate you, but I know how you feel. Last year we stayed the The Grand Floridian and I did not want a dormer room because your balcony is closed in and feels smaller. I did not request any thing specifically in the res. and of course what did we get assigned-a dormer room. We ended up changing rooms because my father loves to sit out on the patio

We used a TA for the reservation and I asked her to put in a request for 1st or 3rd floor. We have two rooms booked since my sister and her family are coming and I'd also requested either connecting or adjoining rooms. As far as I know, we can still use the IPO for this trip and don't have to use the TA for that. Does IPO have any control over rooms? I wouldn't think so. Should probably ask that in the CL thread. :)

Aloha Poly peeps! T - 2 days ... we leave tomorrow afternoon and fly out Saturday morning. I'm beyond excited.:banana::banana:
I thought I'd post now since I don't know if I'll be on the computer a lot tomorrow.

We will probably be checking in while we are there (until Nov.1), so if anyone has any questions, requests etc. let me know.
BreezysMom, jackal, mickey2minnie1 and anyone else who I might have missed, if you see us say say hi! Our family is pretty conspicuous. DSD18 has quite dark coloring, DD7 is a little blue-eyed, blonde-haired pixie, DD4 is a leggy Chinese princess and my DS & BIL, who will also be with us, are covered in tattoos. We're pretty hard to miss! :rotfl:

I gave my room request to the Poly IPO both trips and got exactly what I wanted. Last trip - I was even bold enough to narrow it down to a group of 3-4 rooms specifically by number (not really what you should do) and even got one of those. The previous trip, we were assigned a 3rd floor room and they changed it to ground floor like we wanted right as we were checking in at the CL desk.

We love love love the Poly CL. In my opinion, the $40 per night is definitely worth it for LV. There's nothing like relaxing in the privacy of your own room gazing at the castle. Look for Marie in the lounge. She is an :littleangel:

Tracey, we are flying out in about 24 hours:cool1: I will look for you guys. It will be me DH, DD15 and DD6. You will notice DD6. SHe just lost her two front upper teeth and a third upper is making it's way out:confused3 right before Disney of course! Safe trip to all and we will see you at the Poly!!! I'll be the one on the beach with a drink in both hands. :woohoo:

That's great to know - thanks! We're staying at the AKL three days before we get to the Poly - I planned to use the AKL IPO for our ADRs for the week, but obviously, they wouldn't be able to help us with Poly rooms. I really think I'd prefer to have patio rooms - and as long as they are adjoining, it won't matter if they're connecting or not. Of course, my sister might prefer to not have connecting rooms when my kids are involved. When she stays at the house, they like to wake her up in the morning. They don't understand or care that she lives in California the rest of the year.

Now I just need to know if they're changing the time frame for ADRs to 180 days out. Not that it matters - I'm still over a year from our travel dates. My husband thinks I'm nuts.

DD7 is about to lose an upper front tooth too - it will definitely be coming out at Disney. I swear she is trying to hold onto it until our trip. She's convinced there will be a little something extra in it from the tooth fairy with all the magic and pixie dust flying around Disney! :wizard:
