Harry and I got home yesterday after a great week in Anaheim, including the Lights, Camera, Magic! ABD 1-day tour (fabulous!) and five days at Disneyland and Cal Adv. (weekdays wonderful, weekend very crowded due to grad nights and Bat Day -- who knew?)
We had a great time on the cruise, saw some old friends, met some new ones, fun tablemates, good excursions.
Had to go back to work today and still have to unpack all the bags. The cats were very happy to see us and not too happy when I had to go to work today. Only a bit more than two months until I won't have to do that anymore.
We booked the second 12-night Med cruise with Greece for July 2013 while onboard. Will have to look for a thread here for that cruise. Next cruise is a 7-day on the Fantasy leaving Oct. 20. Will do a week at WDW pre-cruise, then a week near Fort Lauderdale post-cruise. I think I am going to like retirement!
We both managed to avoid the cold/cough/sinus thing so many came down with -- surprising, since I usually come home from vacation with a bad cold. My back, which decided to fail me the morning we arrived in Ensenada, finally felt better a week later. But the best news for me is that after 2 weeks on the knee scooter and a week on an
ECV, my foot no longer hurts! Not sure what the orthopedic doc will think when I see him tomorrow, but I am thankful I can walk without pain for the first time in months.
Thanks to everyone for all the great FE gifts, especially Corrina who gave those in multiple groups multiple gifts! We also particularly appreciate the ducks to add to our ever growing collection, and the CDs (we got four of them!) with all the wonderful Disney and Hawaiian music. Val and Bob, we absolutely love the one you put together. Great selections! Also loved all the magnets, candy, and everything else we found in the FE each day! Some people (besides Corrina, PXIPWR comes to mind) really went above and beyond, with gifts appearing throughout the cruise.
