Hello all!

We are so excited to be checking into the Poly on 6/4!! We have a standard view room, and, after research online and the unofficial guide, I requested a balcony view (preferably 3rd floor) and the Tokelau house. We have two kids, a 7 and 11 year old, and I love the central location between the monorial, TTC, and my wife will likely use the GF health club as well. Thoughts on that request? I really just wanted to avoid the parking lot views more than anything...and I don't like ground floor patio rooms at that much.

Also, does anyone know if the Tokelau renovation has been completed? The unofficial website stated it should finish by April, but they often run long?

Thanks!

You can find the renovation updates on Tiki mans page I believe. I stayed in Tokelau in December in a 3rd floor room. The view was nice and the location is very convenient. It's not to far from anything. You made a good choice!

It was posted on FB that a few rooms had opened in Tokelau. I believe that was posted yesterday?

I requested that longhouse as well.

Drinking a Mai Tai by the pool! Taking lots of pictures of the lounge and new merchandise!

Oh my - so jealous! It's a chilly, dreary Memorial Day in Pittsburgh...

Enjoy every minute - can't wait for August :yay:

Yay looking forward to pics of the refurbed lounge! :yay:

I have one of the ceramic coffee mugs and just like a PP said, the decal is not glazed onto the mug. Even with hand washing, the edges of it are fading. Otherwise I love the mug, and use it, but I'm very careful about washing it.

I love the look of the new Polynesian t-shirts. Can you let us know which shirts have designs on the front AND the back? Also, any Polynesian sweatshirts? Thanks so much! :sunny:

We are in Tokelau. Have been here since Saturday. Looks like they are still working on about 1/2 the rooms (just finishing touches, so there is no noise or construction issues)

Room is wonderful! Live the location.

Sorry that's supposed to say LOVE the location not LIVE it....but I could definitely here! LOL!

Hope you have a great time!! The new rooms and lounge are lovely. We spent a lot of money on the new Poly merchandise. I hope they have sweatshirts when we come back in October. Looking forward to your pics.

Just back from an 8 night stay at the Poly. We did online check in and requested Samoa. When we arrived, we were given a ground floor room in Samoa facing the volcano pool! Awesome view. I have to say that we loved the new look of the renovated room too! It felt luxurious and was much brighter. Big improvement IMO.

Quick question, why the heck is the volcano pool so crowded?? Multiple times during our trip we'd head over in the afternoon and there were no chairs available. Definitely annoying and made me wonder if people were using the Poly pool who weren't resort guests.

Overall, perfect stay and we really enjoyed drinking pina coladas on the beach while watching Wishes.
