We're home safe and sound from our amazing vacation at the Polynesian.

I'm doing a quick run through of the photos that I took. Lots of gray and rain It's not all gray though, there are some real gems too. Here's one:

We had an AWESOME week. Overall crowds and weather were great. But when it rained... wow...

The Poly is just a special place. There's original, old school Disney magic floating around that place.

Confession Time.

We recently got home from a Disney trip. Usually we stay at the Poly, but this time we stayed at...Beach Club . It's a nice resort, my DD & DH loved the pool & we had a nice vacation. But I missed the Poly & am now trying to come up with a way to go back to stay there. There's just no place like home, Poly home .

I agree....the Poly is an awesome resort and is hard to beat. We've stayed at the BC and while we loved the resort/location, the Poly is our favorite (we even like the volcano pool more than SAB ). We are trying the YC next summer for 2 days before a cruise, but are back to the Poly for a few days after the cruise (saving the best for last ).

Glad you had a magical trip . Thanks for posting all the pics as they were all great and they show just how beautiful and peaceful the Poly is .

I know what you mean! I had a CR Bay Lake Room booked up until last week for our MNSSHP stay. Thought it would be an nice change... Our last three stays were Poly as well as our very first stay in 2004. As you can see from the ticker, we are back. Afraid we will have remorse if we don't go back. Especially since CR and Poly share buses. I would be really bummed if I was that close to Poly and did not choose to stay there. There was no choice. I had to change before it was to late! We are splitting with GF Sugarloaf. Have stayed at GF, but never SL. Poly is addicting in a good way!

Have an amazing trip! I can't believe in 5 days I'll be checking into my first POLY CL stay! I'm very excited, and can't believe it's almost here! Time sure has a way of moving fast when you least expect it!

Thank you both! I will definitely try to pop in and give a hello, and I will probably post pics on my FB account ( feel free to pm me for my name/ a friend request) .....or the live from the POLY group. I don't know how to post pics on the dis though.....I will try to give a little "home" back to y'all while I'm there -- I know how much I loved hearing live updates from the World!

Oh my I just noticed my ticker says 3 weeks until our vacation !!

Just noticed on the Polynesian page at the WDW website, it mentions "complimentary wifi". We have stayed at the Poly in 2010 and 2011 and there was a $20 fee per day to gain access to the wifi. Has this changed since then? Asking because we're going back in 10 days.

All wdw resorts now offer free wifi. It started this year. I read some did last year and then it became standard this year for all resorts.

There is now free wifi. The speed and consistency vary. I found it to be consistently reliable during my last stay at the Poly in January. At AKL, it only allotted a limited amount of time at a decent bandwidth, then dropped way off. I had to log off and on in order to get anything done and it was super annoying.

Hot damn...that's great news. That's one of the very few details in our past vacations at disney that was a little surprising. Now there's literally nothing I can complain about.

I completely understand, as do I think many on this thread! We leave for stay #3 in 10 days!!!

WE just got back from our first trip to the Poly for 7 nights. I'm hooked, don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else!

Poly was the first on site resort we stayed in and have stayed there for every trip- this will be our 6th trip! We go every other year and can't wait for this upcoming trip. It's true- once you stay there, you are hooked!
