I was there in Feb, Nov, and Oct and the menu was the same all the times.

You get the welcome bread, salad, noodles, pot stickers, wings, broccoli mix, the 4 grilled meats/seafood, and the banana bread with ice cream. I don't think I'm missing anything?? The 3 times we went, we pretty much had everything on the table at once instead of it being served at separate times which I'm thinking they are supposed to do?? We didn't mind and gave up things when we were done and asked for refills when needed.

If you click on the link for my PTR and go to the link for Valentine's Day Part III there are pics on there from Ohana on Feb 15th

You got the menu right from our dinner two nights ago...

:wave2: I've spend the past few days reading through this thread and I *finally* got to the end. (Disney withdrawal after our Princess Half Marathon trip :sad1: ) We've always stayed at Pop because we didn't see the sense in spending a lot of $$ on a room we'd never be in (I have a commando park touring problem, according to DH).

He's made it known that he'd like a more relaxing vacation and even mentioned maybe going somewhere non-Disney. :scared1: However, after finding this thread, I think Poly will be perfect for us!

Our next trip will probably be Sept. 2014, so lots of time to hang out here and daydream. :cloud9:

You have come to the right resort since it is a win-win situation! My husband votes for the Poly if 'we have to go' ;) AND he and the kids will chill for a bit longer at the Poly while I stay for some extra time at MK or the MK hotels or even Epcot. You just can't beat the monorail transportation :yay:

Some people said you only get one dipping sauce instead of three and I think either the noodles or the veggie was slightly different, I don't remember which. Nothing earth-shattering, but some people are very picky eaters (not saying that as a bad thing), so I can understand little things making a big difference.

I know I read a recent post/review or two which showed the vegetables now being a stir fry mix rather than just broccoli ? My DH is one of those "picky" people who will eat broccoli but not a mixed stir fry(his loss) lol.

We just booked 10 days at the end of October. Our first time at the Poly and our first time at F&W! Can't wait! :)

We ate at Ohanas 2/7 and it was a stir fry mix veggie (no broccoli) and the only sauce was the peanut sauce... no option to get other sauces. Really stinks since we have a peanut allergy in our family. I was a bit surprised they had no alternatives

That really stinks that there is only one dipping sauce. I do love the peanut sauce, but we loved the others too and the variety was nice for all the different meats. There is no way one sauce is the right sauce to go with steak, pork, turkey, and shrimp. :sad2:

It's not like it's hard for them to provide different sauces, they can buy them pre-made (which, believe me, other restaurants on property do, and I bet Ohana always has as well). :rolleyes1

(edited to add, especially odd that they don't have an alternative for those with a peanut allergy like Stasieki's family)

Hello fellow Canadian!!

We head down every October - you will definitely enjoy both the Poly and the F&W Festival!!! What dates are you going?

Hello fellow Canadian!!

Hello to you too! Lovely to see another Canuck! :)

We will be there Oct 24 - Nov 2. I am so ridiculously excited I can barely contain myself. We've stayed at POFQ and Coronado Springs and loved both, but I've wanted to stay at the Poly since my first visit in '90! Got a fantastic deal from a travel agency, so we jumped on it.

Super excited about F&W too. We usually go in Spring, and once at Christmas. I drool over F&W pics every year, this year its time to experience it first hand! Only 231 more days!?! Ugh!!

:wave2: That's three of us - and we're also heading down in October! We'll be at the Poly from the 20th - 27th.

We just got back from a two night stay here and fell in love! Loved the theming and sitting on the beach watching wishes was magical!

I will say however that from the pictures on here I was expecting the pool and beach area to be much bigger than it actually was. The weather was cool when we were there so the pool wasn't that busy but I can imagine it if is hot how crammed that pool must be.

Is it small compared to other resorts?

We are staying at Poly for the first time in August. Just finished reading the entire thread!

Yes, it is smaller than some of the other resorts. By comparison, Stormalong Bay at BC/YC is huge. We like the atmosphere at Poly though which is why we choose Poly this year over BC.

Doing my annual pop-in/sub because I made my deposit and booked air this morning! October 21-28. :beach:

Aloha! Think you're gonna love it! Maybe we'll be there at the same time. Our family will be there from August 11-19.
