You booked a suite without knowing anything about it? Those are too expensive to book without knowing exactly what you are getting! Here's some info:

Princess Suite - marina view
Bedding options:
2 Queen beds in master bedroom, 2 queen beds in second bedroom, and 1 day bed in living room 1212 square feet

Guessing there's no chance the main pool will be finished by the end of April? We have BC booked for the first week of May but just found out we have to change our dates...we've never stayed at the Poly so I'm considering it, but we like to swim a lot so the pool is very important!

Actually tikiman posted in his Facebook page that he has it on somewhat good authority that they are pushing hard to have the main pool open by April 1st. I'd say you have a 60/40 shot of the pool being open then.

Nobody seems to care about free typhoon lagoon access- can't say I blame them though when you are paying $329+ tax for a garden view room.

Any ideas when they will go up? (We're just talking the quiet pool, right? Everything else should be done for the most part, correct?)

Walls should go up soon after the Main Pool Re-opens....

There's a huge construction push at the moment for DVC opening 4/1: the Main Pool, Trader Sam's, Bungalows, Studios, and Front Entrance.

Whether all those projects will be completed by 4/1 is a different subject entirely... but crews are working around the clock!

Once those projects are finished... the opening of Tokelau (last DVC Studio long house expected to be completed in Mid-Summer) the East Pool should be the only remaining projects.

Given the progress over the last few weeks... an Early April opening is seeming more and more likely.

CMs are even quoted as saying 'March' these days!

There can always be delays and set backs... but I'm starting to really feel confident about an April 1st opening to coincide with DVC.

The Quiet Pool will most likely be closed during your stay, and therefore construction fences will be visable, as well as occasional noise during working hours.

The Princess Suites are located in the Tonga Longhouse:

Guests staying in the Tonga Longhouse will have access to a Concerige Lounge as well as the lounge in the Hawaii Longhouse.

Main pool will be done, though the quiet pool will likely be under construction at that time. See the post above yours for a nice update on the progress around the resort. Enjoy your stay!!

Decided to go with my heart/gut. Just had our BC reservation for late May (Memorial Day) changed over to thePolynesian. Our younger daughter graduates 5/23 and when our older daughter graduated in '13 we stayed there. We're serious Tokelau fans, knowing that it's out of the running now, trying to decide which Longhouse to request. My only real request is no parking lot view. Standard/Garden view booked.We stayed in Samoa years ago and it was great

Question regarding TTC - is it faster to walk there & catch a bus to DTD, AK, DHS or to catch the bus from the resort to these parks? Thanks!

Tikiman just reported that, absent unforeseen circumstances, Trader Sam's opens at the end of March and the main pool opens April 1. We've already switched our Easter Weekend reservation to CR, and will probably keep it there, but it does make me reconsider a little.

No buses to or from the TTC anymore, not for several years now. Either from the resort or from a park only

Tikiman is reporting a March 26th opening for the pool and an April 1st opening of the Kiddie play area.

The news of the pool opening just pushed me over the edge, and I booked two nights at the end of April! This will be the very first time we're ever staying at the Poly. We're going on our first ever Disney Cruise, and then we were going to spend two nights at Wilderness Lodge. Part of our plan was to come spend an evening at the Poly for dinner and watching fireworks anyway, so I decided we might as well stay there too, and be able to use the cool new pool and see the castle right from the resort!

I decided to take the plunge and book the last week of April(I really hope the pool will be open) Can anyone tell me which building will be opening first for the standard view at poly? Also which view/building will be impacted the least by construction at this time?

Has anyone been able to book a cabana for April? I just tried and was told it was booked up for the date I wanted. I asked if it was just not allowing reservations because of refurbishments or if it was truly booked up. She was unable to find any information on if it was due to refurbishments. I was hopeful that was the reason so I could just call back when they opened the pool and grab one. Le sigh. Kinda bummed. This was the first time we were going to rent one.

I am wondering if it will still be in front of the resort or not as well. I am thinking it is a good possibility?
