That leaves the remaining longhouses for us non DVCs…Raratonga,Tuvalu,Fiji, Aoaratora, Hawaiii,Somoa, Nuie,Tonga…Its just that from the west side you will one day look at a 5 story DCV building snack dab on the last remaining open space from the TTC to the GF. And Hawaii already looks at 20 ugly pizza huts instead of the once beautiful sunset point and view north to the MK. Oh well.
Maybe it won't happen. It was in the original drawing design for Poly Dvc conversion. I think they should build another pool on the east side for the DVCers…maybe in front of Tahiti sort of in the middle of the bungalows. It think that was in the original plans too but they nixed it.

How many DVC units, anyone know? Thanks!

This makes me very sad as I think the Poly has (or had :() the most beautiful views out of all of the resorts, and now a lot of those gorgeous views are being taken away :sad2:.

I have a girls trip booked for GV CL under that deal with a rate of $392.62/nt (tax included). The discount is close to 45% off :).

We are paying around $445 per night for GV CL in early January. Does that sound right? Seems like a lot of people are paying ~$400 per night.

We are paying about $300/night for a standard room in Dec'15; our CL quote was $507/night....though I realize Dec is a more expensive time of year than Jan, $445 sounds like a great deal! The CL quote we got from Disney direct was $716/night for our trip, $527/night standard!

Thanks. Early January is supposed to be value season :confused3

They wanted $207 more per night for CL? That sounds high.

That was a magical quote for 2 adults. It is $28 per adult per day extra for 3 & 4, so more like $500 per night with 4 in the room.

I agree.

I requested a magical quote for the end of January/beginning of February with that same rate for CL. After doing some figuring, I found the discount to be around 38% vs Disney's 30% ($507/nt) for that time frame, so I'd say $445 is a pretty good deal for CL :goodvibes.

January is value season, but I think the rates have gone up so much over the last few years that the "value" rates we see now are what regular/almost peak rates used to be :sad2:.

I agree that CL at $207 more a night is a little high. I got a magical quote for Poly standard as well to compare with GV CL for January and standard was $310/nt vs CL at $445/nt (both including tax), a difference of only $135 which I don't think is bad at all ;).

I'm not a travel agent guy at all... Particularly regarding wdw...

But I needed help and my magical assistant Samantha delivered...

Discount at the Poly on 10 days notice...long after the discounts were gone.

Still ridiculous...but that's Disney's fault...not hers.

And yes..."club level" is $200 a night...the biggest ripoff in wdw this side of the "ultimate thrill seekers tour"...really is

ok thanks for the confirmation. I priced out so many combinations I got a little :crazy2:

I'm the same way, I never use a TA, but I couldn't resist using this particular one for next August as it was too good of a deal to pass up. With that said, I'm glad you were able to take advantage of a discount :).

You're welcome :).

I get what you mean about going a little crazy. I feel like I bothered my TA to no end as I had so many questions and requested several different quotes before booking for next August and started to get a little confused myself....lol. However, she has been great and I will definitely book with her again should any of their future deals work into our schedule :goodvibes.

Same here! :rotfl: Sure it won't be the last time we book with this TA.....as long as there aren't any glitches with this trip :thumbsup2

I was very nervous to book with this TA because like you, I was worried about any glitches that might arise, but after reading so many posts about others using this agency and having fabulous trips, I'm not quite as nervous anymore ;). I also have a great agent who has been very helpful, even with all of the annoying questions I've asked her over the last couple of weeks .

Our TA has been wonderful and very helpful!

Ours too :thumbsup2.

This was me as well but, honestly, we had no issues whatsoever this past August with our reservations. And I'm pretty sure I drove my agent bonkers with all my questions (and let's not even talk about how I used discounted GC's to pay for the trip :rolleyes1). Our agent was great through it all and that's why I booked next August with her at the Poly :).

Gosh. I just found out the agency TA can save me 500.00 on our trip if I change the dates by two weeks. I'm not sure what to do. My son will have to give up Prom if we do this. He doesn't really want to go, but his girlfriend who has been off more than on the last two years, might. Additionally, that will make the trip just two weeks before final exams for my kids.

Add that to the fact that I HATE last minute changes (I'd have to pick ADR's in just a few days) and I've never booked outside Disney before.

What to do, what to do.............:confused3

A decent travel agent is gonna call and book the same way you or I do...in the end Disney does the booking.

What they can do sometimes (and did for me) is cut a deal with travel company to get a booking done.

I'm still paying alot...but half as much as I could have booked at rack and still double what my existing reservation was at Coronado.

An empty room is still worth $0 to Disney...and they knew I would be in a better mood when I show up with my wallet - so they made the deal. And the travel agent snapped her fingers and made it happen with a phonecall

Win win. Now we can back and forth to the Christmas party...which I haven't been to since 2001 I think...on anyone or 6 trains or 5 boats.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. That skip of a hassle is worth it to me.

Oh, the prom would be pretty hard to miss. I think that's something a lot of people look back at as they get older. I think I would just leave everything alone and go with what is planned. Just MHO. :littleangel:

108 days to go! LOL have our ADR's booked and got everything we wanted except Chef Mickey's, which upsets me just a little. Really wanted to have breakfast there but not going to ruin our trip at all.

Love checking this thread although wish there was more activity on it but with the construction going on I otally get it. Not really checking the theme park threads to much these days due to people complaning about FP+ etc. Which I totally get and I'm sure are valid, I just don't want to read about it day after day. I am thankful for the usual posters that keep this thread alive. Thanks peeps!

It has been too quiet here. I find myself checking tikiman on facebook instead.

Only 20 days:cool1:
