Well finally took the plunge and booked for next August with that "magical deal" everyone was talking about. We are a family of 4 and normally only do Pop and other value resorts but this deal we figured was our chance to actually try a MK resort. My wife and daughters are excited and I am looking forward to days that we go to Epcot or Magic Kingdom being able to go from the monorail straight to the hotel rather then getting on a bus or taking a tram to our car. Thanks to all who talked about that great deal so I could find it. See you all next year.:banana::banana::banana:
You will LOVE it....once we stayed at the poly we haven't looked back! It's the ONLY resort we stay at and we also do the magical deal you are talking about!!!! See you in august!!!!!!!

Had somehow missed a recent update from Tikiman's site... he has this to say about the pools:

I found this little nugget of info tucked in after the construction timeline:

Thanks to Tikiman as always :thumbsup2

Have been following Tikiman's updates both on facebook and on his website and am just glad to hear that one of the pools should be open next August :). Now I'm just hoping there'll be a nice spot on the beach or somewhere else at the Poly where my youngest DD can take her senior pictures thru the event photographers. She has always wanted to do her pics here...crossing our fingers!

Congrats...it's really is an amazing deal!

Mickeynut1: Congrats to you on booking next August as well!

Getting super excited for our Feb trip! My DBIL and his family booked yesterday and will book our ADR's this Friday. We are fully aware of the construction and are prepared and we're ok with that. Counting down the days!

LifeontheDrupe Thanks for sharing that info!:thumbsup2

Congratualtions!!! The monorail resorts make a Disney vacation that much more magical IMO! :goodvibes

We are booked for next August also! :woohoo: :wizard:

I'm working on it ::yes::.

I am so excited! I just booked our Poly CL stay for the beginning of August next summer. Yay :cool1: Yay :woohoo: Yay :yay:

So many DISers have been posting about the amazing Magical Labor Day deal, but the dates on that are too late for us, as we're hitting Disney after a cruise in early August (the Labor Day deal dates begin on August 16). Yesterday I decided to email that magical TA to ask about any other deals next summer, and found that they have a good deal for early August. It's not as good as the Labor Day Deal (which is more than 50% off of the rack room rate for Poly GV). The early August deal is 37% off the rack rate for the club level & standard view rooms at Poly. I know that Disney is likely to release a 35% deal on Poly for next summer--and this is only a bit better--but I am just not good at being patient and waiting for that!

Our current plan is to stay for 4 nights and not go to the Disney parks at all. We'll go to the Disney waterparks and Downtown Disney and spend the rest of the time at the resort, especially in the new pool and the club level lounge! :) We *might* visit Universal Studios for one of those days, as we're big Harry Potter fans & haven't been since it first opened.

We'll see if we stick to the plan...I figure that the only way club level makes sense is if we don't do the parks--and I think this will be a fun & relaxing Disney trip, unlike our normal go-go-go exhausting schedule!

Congrats :yay: :dance3:.

I'm looking at that same deal for a big family trip that we are thinking of taking. I am booked for a girls trip under the Labor Day deal, but I inquired about other deals for our family trip as my SIL is a teacher and the Labor Day deal falls when school starts for her. I have a quote, but nothing is booked yet. Like you said, it's not as good as the Labor Day deal, but it's still good at 37% :thumbsup2.

We have the same problem as your SIL--being a teacher complicates vacation timing. I actually thought about moving my cruise dates so we could take advantage of the Labor Day sale, but my first day back for the fall is August 19th, so we'd have almost no time to fit Disney in. :(

I say book the family trip in early August...the more from the DISboards at Poly, the merrier!

Yes, it does, unfortunately :(. I am thinking about booking that early August deal so we have it and change later should other dates work better for everybody. However, a 37% discount is pretty good and that's hard to pass up (especially with Disney cutting back on discounts lately), so those dates might just work as everyone will want to save as much as they can :thumbsup2.

I agree about more Dis'ers...that would be great to meet others from the boards :goodvibes.

I am looking at the magical deal for the Poly on my 2015 trip. Are there any disadvantages to booking this way? I read a 2008 post saying it caused a prob making ADRs. I sort of need to put my mind at ease before I pull the trigger. Price is great, but it is so good it is making me nervous.

My TA sent me a 12-digit reservation number. I was able to link it on MDE today and it showed up with the correct days, room & people. It looks like it will be simple to book dining using this reservation, but obviously it's too early to book ADRs, so I can't be sure of this.

We did the Magical deal this past August at the Poly. Within a half hour of booking my agent sent me the 12 digit reservation number & I linked it to my MDE account. Everything was there as it would have been had I booked myself with Disney. I had no trouble making my ADRs or Fast Passes. Everything was smooth as silk.

Same here. This is the first time I've booked with this (or any) TA as I always book everything myself, but so far everything has been great. It was a few days before I got the confirmation email with all the details, but my agent sent me the confirmation number right away and I linked it on MDE. When I received the email confirmation, everything was correct, down to the deposit that was made and the balance due. Like this poster, it will be awhile before I can book ADRs, but I am not contemplating any problems.

I am also a teacher and can't travel during the Labor Day sale, but this agency also has a "special" earlier in the summer from June 21-July 5 that we are currently booked under. This deal isn't as good as the Labor Day deal but it is still a significant savings. We traveled the first week of August this past year under this deal as well.

Good to hear it went smoothly for you both. Puts my mind at ease. Have not had good TA experiences with non-Disney trips so I get antsy. I needed the reassurance. Thanks.

These deals for 2015 sound amazing! Which TAs are y'all using? I've never used a TA, so any info on them would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for this information :). I think I'll email my agent and ask her about it as it won't hurt to have another option ;).

I am so excited about the magical deal too! Cannot wait to stay at the poly in Sept!!!!

Congrats on booking the "magical" deal :yay:. You are going to love the Poly :goodvibes.

Glad we were able to put your mind at ease. I was a little hesitant, too, as I always book everything myself and giving up that control is a little hard for me, but the agent I have is very friendly and helpful so that makes it a lot easier :goodvibes.

I hope you get to try the Poly as it really is an amazing resort and if you can go during one of these "magical" deals, it's a double bonus :thumbsup2.

Today marks our one week until our first ever WDW and Poly trip! We told our kids on Saturday about the trip and now they are GIDDY about the monorail. :cool1:

Wow, you're going to have so much fun! Have you started packing already? I don't know, but I'm so excited for you--gotta love the disboards for vicarious Disney vacations!

I can't wait till my trip next summer for Tonga Toast and Ohana's bread pudding and boat rides on the 7 seas lagoon...and you get to do it next week!

Just give a thought to the rest of us next week--we'll be :surfweb: while you're experiencing the magic of Disney! pixiedust:

Have fun getting ready this week and then have so much fun next week!!!

I AGREE! I was so hesitant. I hate releasing control.. LOL! But I called her and we talked dates/prices, she gave me my confirmation number less than an hour after booking and now I do the rest myself! :)
