Also, any idea how early busses and boat shuttle are running? We have a ressie for 8:20am one morning at MK for bfast and I had heard the bus would run at 8 (b/c park opens at 9) but others said the busses will run earlier than just 1 hour before park open. Any insight??

On Tuesday, we were waiting at Poly before 7am for the Epcot bus. 3 MK buses came by. This was a morning EMH day for Epcot, but the buses for all of the parks were still up & running early. Concierge also said they start at 6:45am everyday.

Hi all! We are planning our June 2015 stay back at the Poly CL! WooHoo! :cheer2: Can't wait!

I know that the volcano pool is supposed to be up and running by March/April of next year - what about the construction at the GCH? When is that "anticipated" to be completed? I know that dates will always change but just curious! :confused3 Thanks!

Any idea what time the monorail starts running to MK on non-early hour days?

Howdy, y'all! Planning our return home for next summer. Thinking about staying CL. Is it worth the extra cash or should we just do more 'extras' like fireworks dessert party? TIA!

Check Tikiman's page for the latest on the construction schedule.

Mystery- did you get to dip in the East pool yet?? We will be leaving for Poly tomorrow. Spend the first night (late arrival around 11pm) at AOA then check in at the Poly Friday morning! Can't wait!! Just got out of the pool now actually. It's always nice to wake up early, grab a coffee from the lounge, head to the gym by the GF (shower) and take a dip in the pool. No issues with the pool temps- same as Nanea. I wish it was a bit deeper but that was expected. I was the only one in for most of the time too. I will say that you can hear construction (hammering & sawing) if that bothers you...so I can see how some guests not staying in Hawaii may have more construction noise to deal with.

While the pool is closed there will be use of the East pool at the resort and guests are being offered transportation and access to Blizzard Beach Water Park. At first the offer was going to be for one day admission but I verified from a few sources at Disney that guests will be allowed access to Blizzard Beach for the length of their stay at the Polynesian Resort. There will also be complimentary towel rental and if you have a resort mug you will be allowed to use it at Blizzard Beach. There will be special transportation to the water park and once you are there you will use your resort I.D. to obtain access into the park.

Hotel route is 8:30. Epcot route is 9am. Morning EMH does not affect these times currently.
Disney's website states 8:30 for resort, 9:00 for express and 9:30 for Epcot. That may be different than what they are actually running, but that's what's listed.

I can't say from experience whether Poly CL specifically is worth the extra cost as we've only stayed GV at the Poly, but we have stayed CL at other resorts and the extra cost for CL is worth it to us. The food offerings are nice, but I love having the lounge for another place to sit and relax rather than in our room or around the resort. The Poly is our favorite resort and we are headed back next summer as well and have decided to try CL as I have read a lot of great things about it.

Hi BlueSkies :wave2:

We have done CL at poly two times and have LOVED every moment of it!!! We tried AKL CL and gf SL these past two trips and although we really enjoyed ourselves and what those CL had to offer - we did find ourselves missing the Hawaii building and lounge. Something so special watching Wishes there with DD - we can't wait to return next summer!!!!! Food and drinks are great - CM's are extremely warm and helpful! Location is perfect! I could go on and on but I'll just end with - we totally find it worth it!!! :) but I'm sure no matter what you decide you'll have a magical vacation!

I may have remembered wrong too. I don't have the transportation guide with at MK today.

Checking in with those who are at the Poly now...

Could you report on noise with all of the construction going on? Is it limited to only daytime hours or is it also early morning and late at night too? Can you hear it in your rooms if doors are closed?

Also now that the volcano pool is closed, is the other pool very crowded? Do they still have the afternoon pool games?

I really want to book hear despite the construction but would like some feedback on what to expect. Thank you!

Awesome!! Thank you so much for this info!!

Ohhh thank you for this report!! Makes me feel better! What is the depth of the quiet pool?? Can't wait to check it out! We will be there in the morning!

I gave some more details in earlier posts this week but being in the Hawaii building I have only heard zero construction noise one morning around 8:30am. You can however hear it at other areas of the resort like the East Pool. I'm unsure if this will change once they do work on the Nanea Pool.

They moved the bar over to the East pool a few days ago and I heard some music there yesterday so I imagine the pool games are/will be there as well. Pool still isn't very crowded.

I am trying to find some concrete information (well as much as you can with construction!) on when the bulk of construction will be finished at Poly. We are planning a trip in August 2015 and really (really, really!) want to stay there but I also don't want to be in the middle of a construction zone. Can anyone give any advice? Our alternate choice is the Contemporary but I'd much prefer Poly.
