We actually prefer a patio room too. My kids also love to see the ducks in the morning and we feel like we can spread out more - especially when spraying on the sunscreen! Although the trip we had last October in Tokelau in the ground floor room did see an uninvited guest. I thought it might be a roach but y'all said it was a palmetto bug or something like that. Which calmed me a bit but still wasn't pleasant to open up the closet and see that THING - that MASSIVE CREEPY CRAWLIE - scatter near my shoes

The Palmetto Bug is a type of cockroach. They prefer to live outside. I rather deal with these instead of the German Cockroach.

Does anyone know if the hair wrap station is still at the Poly next to the Volcano Pool? My 5 year old is obsessing about getting a hair wrap for summer, but I thought I read somewhere that it was no longer there. Anybody know? Thanks

It was there in September when we were there, and I haven't heard anything otherwise.

Just bought the plane tickets, now the trip is REALLY real! Cannot wait for our September trip! Decided to drop Club Level in favor of staying an extra day and getting Deluxe Dining. Hope it was the right move!

It was there next to the Volcano Pool during our stay last week.

Deluxe Dining is ALOT of food and if you are foodies then you made the right decision. I hope you have all of your reservations made! Club Level is for those who like to have that little something extra and to be a little spoiled. If you don't plan on spending much time at the resort then it was the right decision. We love club level but would never get it if we were only staying for 3/4 nights. I don't know how long you are staying but we love the Deluxe Dining when we have time to enjoy it! You are at Disney... I can't see any regrets! :thumbsup2

Hi! I saw that the cabanas are available to rent 180 day in advance. Does anyone know how many there are and how quickly they fill up?

2 regular cabanas and one premium cabana. As far as how quickly, we haven't Had a problem booking them but I guess it would depend on how busy the resort is.

So. Very. Tired.

But I love it here and never want to leave......

Had a great day at MK. It was completely magical being there for the opening of MK and also for the closing of it later in the night. Lots of fun had by all. Resort is beautiful and quiet. No complaints, CM's are helpful and happy. Weather is hot and beautiful.

Tomorrow is our sleepin day and then world showcase.

Coffee makers are stupid. That is all. Lol

Ahh, the trip is paid in full and I'm passing the time while I wait for my Mickey Mail by reading some of the Poly thread.

I have a question too - I have never made a room request before, ever, in our 9 trips. But this time, I do have a request and I don't know how to make it. I am pretty sure I read that you aren't supposed to fax them anymore. So, do I call the regular reservation line, or is there a "better" way to go about it? We are booked TPV and I just want to make sure we have a balcony (unless all TPV rooms have a balcony, then I won't worry about it - but I'm pretty sure there are a few that don't).

As pre-payment in appreciation, a couple of photos from 3410 Tuvalu (last August).

Congratulations on you paying your trip off in full!!! Now it's time to do the happy dance :cool1:

ajh88 those are some gorgeous photos that you have there...and congrats on paying off your vacation. It is such a wonderful feeling. I will do the happy dance with you too :dancer:.

We just finished our first ever stay at the Poly. We normally stay at Pop or CBR and I was sooo leary of spending the money on the room. Worth every penny, and it is where we'll be staying from now on.
We found so many things to do at the resort, and I loved watching Wishes from the beach in the evening. And the CMs there were fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. It really is a magical place isn't it?!

Calling for 50% chance of tstorms this afternoon on what is to be our last day in the MK.

I keep reminding myself a rainy day in Disney is still better than a sunny day back home!

Well rain at MK is better than any other park. In fact that is the only park I have been rained on. Now short showers have come and gone while I was at other parks but I was inside at the time.
