Well I can't say I'm surprised about the GCH rumor, seeing as how it's been rumored for quite some time now. Evidently the building is falling apart - and who's surprised, given its age? That was one reason DH and I made it a point to go back this year, before any big changes take place.

If you're looking for a great ride, stand on the side with Samoa Snacks when it's crowded and feel the floor sway.

I am so excited I found this group. We leave in 79 days. This will be my fist time back to WDW and the Poly since 1986. There will be 7 of us going. DH, DS5, DD3, mother-in-law, niece, and my Aunt. Hopefully you all will be able to help me along in the next few months. ADR's are made just worried about all the little things now.

Yay! So exciting!

What are you worrying about? It's Disney! No worries allowed! ;)

:welcome: to the Poly Info Thread!! We're all happy to answer any questions that you may have! Nothing to worry about. You'll have a great trip! :goodvibes

you can hear the rain in Carl's live feed ... bummer.
Sorry cabana day was a washout!

Thanks for the great info updates though! And watching Wishes the last couple of nights has been wonderful - thank you for sharing your vacation with us! :)

It's no problem turning the feed on! I am glad everyone is enjoying it. I just wish it wasn't blurry. The new live stream software doesn't allow me to control the camera unless I pay. But y'all can still see.. Kind of..

Here is one photo of many of wishes on the beach!

Oh my goodness, Carl! Now I'm starting to REALLY get excited :yay: Thanks for sharing with all of us

I have been lurking here for over a year, but we're finally making the leap and I just HAVE to share...

we'll be at the Poly Sept. 20-23:dance3:! This is our first ever deluxe stay. We could only swing three nights at the Poly, and the first six nights of our trip will be at CBR. I'm super excited to be there for a third of our trip this September. And you know what they say--once you go deluxe, there's no going back:thumbsup2!

'Ohana can always be relocated to Tangaroa Terrace--just a possibility--no inside info.

IMO, that's where it should be anyway. It's a great location and would take a lot of the crowds out of the GCH. I miss having a restaurant on that side of campus.

I saw earlier today they blocked off the path in between Niue and Rarotonga with some scaffolding and what not.

Any clue on what they were working on?

I completely agree, although I didn't like it when Capt. Cooks was over there. It would be great for 'Ohana though.

CC was too big for the little space they gave it. Plus, it's nice having QS dining more centrally located.

That said, I liked when it was TT and the Snack Isle next to Moana Mickey's Fun Hut. That whole building is attached to so many fond memories, I hate to see it be largely unused by guests.

I second or third all of the above. We too have fond memories of Aloha Isle and the former restaurant located in Tangaroa Terrace--such a wasted space that doesn't see enough use through private bookings. 'Ohana would be a lovely placement there. :thumbsup2
