I just called and booked two half days - one for the day we arrive (since our flight is now CRAZY early thanks to Air Tran ) to give us a place to land for a while, and again on our last full day there, to give us time to relax before heading back into the real world!

13 days. But who's counting????

I am loving all the photos posted by everyone recently. It makes me so homesick for the Polynesian. We will definitely pop up that way to soak up the atmosphere and check out the newly refurbished quiet pool when we are there June 28-July 3, 2011.

Sadly, we just can't justify the higher price for rooms at the Polynesian when we can get a great deal at BWI. Ron and I have stayed at BWI before, but it was without the kids. I'm viewing it as another notch on their belts. Since the kids are adults now, most of our time is spent at EPCOT these days. You simply can't beat the convenience of the International Gateway for park closing exit. While I love the Polynesian, I really hate fighting the crowd out of EPCOT after Illuminations and the crowded monorail return. We tend to spend about every evening out at EPCOT, so the EPCOT resorts make sense for our current vacationing style.

I am thrilled though that we are able to pull off this surprise 21st Birthday Bash and College Graduation Getaway for the kids. We aren't going to tell them that we are going to Disney though. Both of them know we are going on vacation that week, but we have told them we are still up in the air about where. Right now we plan to tell them we got el cheapo flights on Spirit to Myrtle Beach. If we can keep the secret, they won't know we are headed to Orlando until they get their boarding passes IF they even read them. The looks on their faces should be priceless!
