I didn't take nearly enough photos at the resort. At the Poly, we ate in the lounge, at Ohana, at Kona, and Dole Whips at Capt Cooks.

Pool photos:
Quiet pool. Don't know what it was like before being renovated. We swam there more than the volcano pool. My kids loved it. Less chaotic than the volcano pool. The depth varied from 3.5 at the edge to a little over 4 feet at the center. We swam around 3 in the afternoon everyday and the "quiet" pool was full of families. After a busy day in the park, we and the kids liked the relative calm in the quiet pool. I did feel bad for an attractive young couple who looked to be on their honeymoon. They walked up to the "quiet" pool with their swim stuff, saw all the kids kids and more kids (some with waterguns, some being tossed high and squealing by parents, etc), looked at each other, sighed and walked off.

my only complaint about the bathrooms was a lack of hooks for towels. There was only one hook (seen in reflection here) right next to the shower. After 4 people showered, where were we supposed to put our towels (which we were willing to use more than once)? And where to hang damp swimsuits to dry, etc?

Wildlife galore
Look carefully and see the baby bunny having breakfast with the momma ducks and ducklings (seen on the walk to the TTC at 7:30 am)

People obviously feed the ducks (even though the resort asks you not to) b/c they always looked in the window when passing our patio

Is there no string to pull along the length of the tub that hooks on the opposite wall to hang things?

View waiting for the boat to the Magic Kingdom. We loved the boat ride. Loved it. Such a pleasant way to travel to the park.

There always has been in our rooms in Tuvalu :confused3

There was the pull thing, but that is inside the shower (interior to the shower curtain). After a swim, all four of us took showers before dinner, so we had 4 wet suits, and four wet towels (which couldn't be hung until the last shower was over). Minor quibble (no other complaints), but I think they could have easily added hooks on the back of the door or more on the wall. We noticed other people hung their swim suits on their balcony and chairs, but we didn't want to do that due to the large number of ducks who made themselves (and sometimes their droppings) frequent visitors on our patio. Again - no biggie - but I'd add hooks if I ran the place. ;)

Dying here, people!!! Soooo in need of some Poly! We're doing a week in California in June with a couple days at DL, which will give me a park fix until the fall, but I need some Poly stat!!!

Great pics everyone...keep 'em coming!

Good Evening everyone! I am sitting in my room here at the Poly! Just arrived today! We are staying GV CL and we are in room 1526! Ground floor room which is great! Had dinner at Ohana this evening which was absolutely YUMMY! Just enjoyed our evening here and relaxed. It was a torential downpour for a while today which gave us a good excuse to enjoy our room and the lounge! Watched Wishes from the lounge and enjoyed some evening wine and desserts! Am really loving CL already! I have some pics but haven't loaded them yet. I PROMISE I will in the next day or two! We have a cabana on Wed so I will def take pics then! Let me know if there are any special requests for pics! Have a good night! Heading to the MK tomorrow! :goodvibes

Sorry, but I have to ask ... did you happen to clean out the pineapplely goodness inside after you finished the Lapu Lapu???? If not, you must do it next time ;) Trust us ... we wouldn't steer you wrong!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:
I did!! B/c of the posts here (much to my husband's horror) I attacked it with my fork and then spoon (had no spork handy) and thoroughly enjoyed the alcohol soaked fruity wonderfulness left after the straw had done its thing.

Glad you are having a great time!! I would like in depth photos of the premium cabana. Just go right in like you are a professional photographer.. They won't kick you out unless there is a family there or you try to eat the cheese! :rotfl2:

We were in 1524/1525 - great location!!! Say hi to the duck family for us! My kids loved saying hi to them every day.... ahhhh - wish I was there still. But more so I wish that my pics had turned out better. Really dissapointed with a lot of my pics this trip. I need a new camera!

You know....we found this to be an issue for us during our first WDW trip when we stayed at the CR. Since then, I always bring some tiered hangers so that I can clip our suits on the hanger and hang it on the clothes line or on a towel bar or....wherever I find it to work best in the room. It helps tremendously! It still takes a day or so to dry so we always bring 2 suits per person so that we can alternate. I despise putting on a wet/damp bathing suit. It just feels so gross.

We actually rarely reuse towels at WDW because they don't dry properly in the bathrooms with little air movement. If they put some more towel bars in the bathroom maybe they would dry quicker so people would reuse and cut down on washing costs;)

Wonderful pictures KathleensKids! It is making me homesick! We will be at WL for October trip and then back to the Poly in June 2012....I hope I can make it that long....:rolleyes1
