We were in Tokelau, second floor. At first we were a bit disappointed that our room faced the garden, not the quiet pool, but it turned out to be good for two reasons - it was very quiet when sitting on the balcony and you did not have the afternoon sun beating on you (as I mentioned it was HOT). And as one in our group said 'we paid for GV and guess what - we got GV!'

The rooms are very large - last time we stayed in Niue and we definately noticed the difference. We actually liked Niue better tho' for the location but Tokelau is very convenient to the GCH, TTC, quiet pool and beach. Our room was clean with no maintenance issues. We kept the cabinet doors shut on our refrigerator and did not have any problems.

Good point about the sun. I did not even think of that and I will need to sit on the balcony during afternoon nap times, unless of course I need a nap too!;)
Why did you like Niue's location compared to Tokelau? I am looking foward to reading more!

I think I remember reading a while ago that a Photopass photographer was in the lobby during early evenings. Does anyone know if they still do this? Thanks!

There was a PP in the lobby the night we went to eat at Ohana's in February. Hope he/she is there on our upcoming trip also.

When we stayed at the Poly in November, there was a photopass photographer in the lobby every evening.

I meant to add that when we saw the PP, he was downstairs....not right outside Ohana's. Hope there is a photographer there for you also.:wizard:

When we were there in October, PP was downstairs, too. He made a ton of pictures and was really nice....took lots of time with us.

Look at my ticker!!!!:dance3: So close!!!!:dance3:

This is our favorite location!! Except we request first floor. But we love how quiet it is and just a glance or turn to the left and there's the lagoon!

I think two things sold us on Niue - proximity to the GCH without loosing much in distance to the TTC and the second floor breezeway to Rarotonga. Our room was on the second floor, first room from the south stairs on the left. We sat at the tables in the breezeway a couple of nights, once under the roof when it was pouring rain but still warm enough to be outside. It was a great place to people watch and as our daughter and friends daughter were both 8 at the time we felt okay about leaving them in the room to play while we sat out and enjoyed some adult conversation (with us taking turns checking on them periodically). Also, like Samoa, Niue is in between the quiet pool and the volcano pool.

Pin codes are flying around! What is going on?? We have recieved yet another pin! Not complaining but this is our thrd pin in the last three months! It seems like Disney loves us or they are really worried about mr Potter at universal.

Did you notice any lingering smoke smell in Niue, being a formerly smoking building? I know it's been a while, but I've wondered about this.

I didn't discover our 'lagoon view' until our second day. :goodvibes Here is my first attempt at sharing a photo - hope it works.

Sorry - my husband is a smoker :headache: so I am probably less sensitive to the smell of smoke.

Okay - I figured out how to post a picture - now if I could only fix our ticker! :confused3

Here are a couple more views from our balcony (these were taken in about 6:30 am) ...

I saw a PP photographer a couple of times and I am nearly positive there is a PP desk on the second floor of GCH (near Trader Jack's) - sorry for sketchy details - I wasn't really focussed on this. I wonder if they added the PP desk now that you can book private photo shoots.

Last post of the evening - I don't want to be a thread hog - but I know before our trip how much I wanted to see pictures of the Poly. Here are a few from the boat from MK.
