:flower3:Aloha
We arrived today and it's just as wonderful as it was 2 Years ago.
Still waiting for our room. The baby is asleep on the stroller & I'm relaxing on the second floor of the gch and Dh is at make with Dd5.:thumbsup2
Have a wonderful time! We just got home from the Poly on Friday night after 7 glorious days there. We also arrived early with a sleeping baby and hung out in GCH while waiting for our room. They were prepping a 3rd floor Volcano-facing Samoa room for us, but said they could get us into Raratonga much earlier, so we went with that. It was very nice.

Happy vacation to you! :wizard:

Just booked 3 nights Theme Park View CL for our 5th anniversary!!!:banana::banana: I am sooo excited!!!!

Hi Guys,

Just booked 3 nights at the Polynesian 22/23/24 of August, before the rest of our vacation in a private villa.

Thanks for all the information on this thread. :thumbsup2

Just wondering, when do they release the rates for 2011? I know that I booked this March's trip in November of last year, but I wasn't sure if the rates were out.

Can you tell that I need a Disney trip to look forward to?

The rates for the following year are usually released during the month of August.

It's been great reading this forum again. Thanks to everyone who makes it great!

1. So, I tried to book dinner at 'Ohana's for our Disney/Poly trip in October. Ok, it was not exactly 180 days, in advance, but it was about 173 days. And the were completely booked for dinner. This is for a Monday in October, could 'Ohana's really be full? Is this place really that good? :confused3

2. I'll be going with my parents, who are seniors. My dad is in pretty good shape for 72, but I'd like to keep his walking to a minimum. What is the best LH that is still close to GCH?

Just booked our Poly trip, Oct 20-26, our first deluxe stay! I was a little nervous about all the negative reviews, but you positive Poly people cinched the deal! I'm not a person who picks things apart anyway....

SO EXCITED! Most excited about monorail and food at the resort...yum! Someone else recommended WL, but the food choices didn't compare for me.

To the OHana question above....I just booked 3 for Ohana on Thurs 10/21 at 5:15 pm. There were other times awailable too. Do you have a large party maybe?

Thanks for the positive vibes!

So I was bouncing back and forth between Poly and GF for our next trip. I finally decided on and booked Poly for Nov 28-Dec 6. Yay! :cool1:

I have tried to book Ohanas in the past and it was fully booked, but about a month before the trip suddenly there were a ton of openings. I do not know if they hold back some openings here. I was tipped off by another DIS'er and many got their ADR's this day. So stalk the the DIS dining forums and the cancel and trade thread. :thumbsup2 Good Luck!:goodvibes

Yippee! I just upgraded from Garden view non-club level to Theme Park view club level, thanks the the 40% off code that has been released!!! I am so excited! I want to go today!!!!:banana::banana:

We are having an amazing time! :cool1: Started our morning at Ohana . My 17 month old just was enamored by all the characters. We then went to AK and had a great day. We ended the day swimming in the volcano pool.

Oh and DD5 LOVES THE SLIDE as do mommy & daddy.:goodvibes

Although lots will probably suggest Somoa or Niue, I'd suggest Figi, views are sooo pretty and it is very convenient or Tokelau - which is a bit further, but it is centrally located so it would be a short walk to GCH or TTC. Both of those would be a little Check tikiman's site as that is very helpful:

Hope this helps and happy planning.:goodvibes

Hi, Tom. Raratonga is the closest to the GCH....literally about 20 feet away. Niue is just a few feet farther. Another advantage of these two is that the entrance to the GCH closest to those longhouses is also steps away from the elevator for access to Kona, O'Hana and the monorail.

Fiji and Aotearoa aren't too far to a different door of the GCH but on that side there is a set of stairs (or ramp) to get into the building. Then maybe a 2 minute walk to the elevator.

I would suggest asking the CM at DRC to note why you want a longhouse close to the GCH. The room assignor at the Polynesian seems to do a great job paying attention to things like that.

I agree to keep on trying for 'Ohana.

Happy planning!

Thanks Eeyorepixie! I already have been stalking the forums for cancellations, but the October thread hasn't even been created yet :sad2:

And thanks for the tip about checking back about a month before...I will do that for sure!

What 40% code?

It is on the disneyworld.com site now under special offers...thru oct 2 I think. I saw it yesterday when I was comparing our pricing using 40% PIN with the free dining that was also just released.

fyi- a poly gv room during value season comes to $219/nt using the 40% off
