We knew the Barnstormer would most likely not be there our next trip so on our last night during our most recent trip DD and DH rode it over and over and over....10 times in a row. They had a blast! They said their last good byes to Toontown. :sad2:

There better not be a clown anywhere around the MK...I have deep clown issues :scared1: I won't set foot in the Boardwalk or near that creepy pool. :lmao: There was a whole thread about the BW pool that totally validated my clown fears. I am not the only pathetic clown hater :lmao:

I am not a huge fan of changes myself but in the end, I am sure the new Fantasyland will be incredible! :wizard:

I wasn't aware of the BW pool - just googled it. OMG ... I can't believe they built that hideous thing! :scared1: Obviously who ever designed it doesn't have kids or never was a kid!

When we were at WDW last fall I didn't know that toontown was going to be closing, or I think we would have rode barnstormer a lot more (although I think we still hit it about 10 times! - but DD5 LOVES it!) I was really surprised when I read what they were going to do with it. It sounds like they are trying to make Dumbo into a much bigger headline attraction - two Dumbo rides, a big top cue area and the clown (shudder) coaster.

I agree, the new princess and fairy stuff sounds great though.

*raises hand* I'm a clown-hater too! :scared1: LOL

To me there are two things worse than a clown: a mime and a mime/magician! I have some serious issues with all of those creepy things.:lmao:

I am looking for the recipe that I hear is in the concierge lounge at night.
Has wine and fruit juice.

TIA!

All caught up on the new thread. Great job BreezyMom - I do not know where you find the time! Subscribing....:thumbsup2

You may want to decrease the portions unless you are planning on serving a bunch of people.

Enjoy :wizard:

o.k. where is a link to confirm this rumor of toon town closing?

I'm not sure if this will work, but I 'll try...otherwise it's under theme parks, and of as now, it's on the 2nd page.
Official Fantasyland Expansion Q & A (Mickey gets evicted)

Sorry, but I'm not great at this, which is why I have a teenager! LOL

Carlnix30 , post #354 on page 24 of this thread, has a link there as well. He's much better at this stuff than I am!:thumbsup2

I know that toon town was going to close, but the earlier post on page 23 was the first time there has ever been a date attached to this rumor. I am just trying to verify if it is a rumor or fact:confused3 Sorry should have been clearer on what it was that I wanted to confirm. thanks for trying to help me!

This hotel is amazing!!! The beach outback just sets up everything. The restaurant and its service is by far the best we received at any place on WDW property. I would encourage anyone to stay there, you won't be disappointed.

Another clown phobic here ...and do not like the jesters or masks at FQ or the mimes in WS. That clown pool at the BW gives me the creeps. Although we did rent points at BWV a couple of yrs back and I never noticed the clown pool after a couple of adult beverages(we were sitting off to the side of the pool bar under some trees - could not see the face of the clown, but knowing it was there was enough).

Wow, I haven't been on here in a few days and we're already up to 25 pages! I can't believe the April 9 Toontown closing! I'm glad we got to ride Barnstormer a few times last month before it closed, but we forgot to say goodbye! I'm with all of you clownaphobics...hopefully the theme isn't as creepy as the Boardwalk pool...I was a big "Poltergeist" fan back in the 80's and I've been terrified of clowns ever since!

So, I'm still trying to plan our trip for next April, which turns out will be during Easter week next year. DD keeps begging me to stay at the Poly, so I'm considering a GV for next year. Are any of you guys going to be there for Easter this year? I'd love seem feedback as to how crowded it gets around the Poly. I know over February vacation the two days we had warm weather the pool got really crowded, and of course Kona and 'Ohana were insanely crowded. Just curious if it is over the top at Easter, or do you still have some breathing room around the resort? I don't anticipate spending too much time at the parks and will spend most of our day at the Poly...which is a good thing! :woohoo: But if everyone else has the same idea...maybe not so good. I'd love to hear from Poly peeps who've been for Easter before, or can report back after this Easter. Thanks in advance for your help! :flower3:

I can't find anything to corroborate the information posted by Lorelie's mommy in the Mickey Gets Evicted thread on the theme parks board. I haven't actually called WDW myself but no one else online has this as the closure date.:confused3

Thanks for the review! Are you there now? If so keep us updated :worship:

I was there over Easter last year and will be there again over Easter this year. It does get really crowded, but a lot of schools have a designated time for their Spring Break instead of having Spring Break coincide with Easter. So last year the week before Easter was really bad with park closings, and the week after was pretty empty. This year so far it looks like the crowds are pretty light, and I'm hoping that the crowds stay light during Easter.

The Poly pool was fairly crowded the whole time, and so were the restaurants. We were still able to do walk ups at O'hana and Kona though.

We leave next Saturday so I'll let you know how it turns out this year. :)

This was just posted on another thread, and I wondered if anyone hear had heard this too!
"Toontown closing april 9th 2010?????!?!?
After sitting on the phone with disney for over 45min.
a nice CM's contacted the switch board and explained to me that they will begin closing toontown apirl 9th 2010! I called back 10 min later just to make to sure they had the same info.
After about 20min this time the CM contacted the switch baord and did confirm April 9th 2010!

Has anyone elese heard about this??????
This can not be right!!!!

If you would like to call for yourself the number i called is 1-407-939-7777.
I ask for parks, when the CM's picks up ask them to check with the switch board. Thats where the info came from.

Please someone say it isn't so.................................... "

If this is true, I'm thankful that we got lots of pics when we were there for New Year's this past Jan.
