When we stayed CL level last year we did not see any strollers nor were they offered to us, not sure if this is something new, but I had never heard of it before.
I agree because each time we have stayed Club Level at the Contemporary and the one time we stayed Club Level at the Polynesian, we didn't see these strollers and if guests had them it was ones that they personally owned.

No, they don't - the second floor rooms do not have balconies. You should either request first (for a patio) or third floor (for balcony). All of the longhouses have their fans, it really depends on what you're looking for ie. close to the GCH, close to TTC etc.

A lot of people prefer Tahiti because it is close to the TTC, is one of the newer longhouses, so the rooms are slightly larger & the bathroom has two sinks. Others like Tuvalu because it is smaller and close to the GCH.

TY so much. I've never requested a special room before although I have been at Disney probably 30 times. Just this time paying for Theme park view I want to get the best I can. So it looks like 3rd floor and Tahiti for closest to TTC. Sorry to sound ignorant but what is GCH?

GCH = Great Ceremonial House, it is the main building where you check in, the restaurants and gift shops are, and where you get on the monorail.

stay out of my Tuvalu! it's mine! hehe

Oh, I'd never stay in that rat-trap. Tuvalu is crap ... ;)
:rotfl2:

no doubt. I saw rats, dust, mold, and mystery stains on the carpet. Not to mention the Lewis and Clarkesque hike to the TTC and the BOOMING sounds of the Luau right next door.

You two crack me up! I'm so excited to have more people around who love MY Tuvalu! But shhhhhh! :ssst:No more talk about how great it is. It ends here on page 5. Tahiti's the best choice, right? :rolleyes1

Not ignorant! It took me awhile to learn all the dis lingo! GCH is the Great Ceremonial House, where check-in and all the restaurants are located :)

T-15 hours and counting till we leave our house to head to the Poly!!! SO VERY EXCITED does not even begin to cover how we are feeling right now.
Still bunches left to finish. Thanks to everyone for all the helpful info here on the DIS.

Deal! :thumbsup2 From now on all Tuvalu high-fives via PM.

Woo Hoo!! Tahiti rocks!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

(seriously, Mom21 - I don't want to worry you thinking that's sarcasm! Most Poly MKV goers love and prefer Tahiti, for all the reasons I mentioned earlier! :thumbsup2)

My DH and kids make fun of me constantly for using these acronyms for WDW. The Poly, TTC, GCH and MK. They know that I am obsessed with planning our trip and WDW in general. I tried to explain that we all (WDW fans on this board) talk that way :)

They still like to poke fun at me anyway:rotfl:

No Tuvalu is the hot spot just stay away from that pit Tahiti noone wants to go there its too far away from the GCH and the noise from the ferries is unbearable everyone should stay far far way :rolleyes1

Everyone I know has no idea why I spend so much time on the dis...look at all the fun everyone misses out on! Like our friendly TPV jousting between Tahiti and Tuvalu...which brings me to:

I was wondering when you were going to jump in! :rotfl:

This is great! You did an awesome job setting it up. :thumbsup2

It is 70 and sunny here in NC today. Wish I had a Lapu Lapu to sip out on the deck.

Loving this thread, so far I have learned that the Poly is awesome. As usually people on the DIS rock at answering my 100 questions quickly and Tuvala is to be avoided at all costs (or requested upon check in).
However I am still lost as heck when it comes to the names of the building and all that but I am sure with much lurking I will understand.
Thanks for your help today ladies I believe I am done for the day!

Everyone knows you can't trust a pirate ... :sad2:
:lmao:

Hey everybody! I'm hopping aboard the Poly train. :woohoo:

My family has stayed at the Polynesian multiple times and absolutely love it! We stayed over at the Wilderness Lodge the past 2 trips, just for a change, but this summer we are making our triumphant return to the Polynesian. I'm so excited! I can't wait to return to "my" hammock on the beach to relax and soak up the tropical atmosphere. :cloud9:

I'm hopping in as well, we are booked for 10 nights this summer - Garden View. We started planning this trip at the values, but then we kept talking ourselves up and now we are staying at the Poly!

WOW, I apparently can't go to work anymore :rolleyes1

5 pages already!! It is like a party all day on this thread :dance3:

:welcome: to all the new Poly lovers!

Keep checking back to the first few pages over the weekend as I spruce up the thread!

To all of you getting ready to go...please bring us some new pics :worship: and have a fabulous vacation! :wizard:

Have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

Breezysmom - thanks for all the pics and info. Particlarly for posting the Newsletter with the activities. I had been wondering about that.

Does anyone know if the activites' time change depending on the time of the year? I see the lighting ceremony is at 6 pm on most days. Gosh, at 6 pm, I better be feeding my kids dinner (or waiting to get seated). Does anyone have any idea if that time varies? :confused3 We're planning a September trip.
