Here are a few pics from our trip. I am exhausted and have a busy day of work, school, and activities tomorrow but will try to work on posting more details of our trip over the course of the next week or two.

We arrived Sat 5/15 at the Poly and the resort was wonderful! The CM's were super friendly and helpful, we received our request (Tahiti 3rd floor - TPV room), and the room was clean and very large! The view was so amazing and such a wonderful way to end the day sitting on the balcony. My kids loved the pool and although it was small compared to stormalong bay, I personally liked it better because my boys aren't great swimmers and the Poly pool is shallow and much easier to keep track of the kids! My youngest and oldest LOVED the slide! The pool was a bit crowded at times but one night we got in after a rain and had the pool practically to ourselves. We also rented a pontoon boat and did a little exploring of the lake ourselves! My husband loved that and I will post pics of our boat trip too when I have more time!

We ate at Ohana for breakfast and dinner and had several snacks and one meal at Captain Cookes. Everything was excellent. I tried to get Sushi from the Sushi bar one night but it was packed so I just gave up. We got breakfast muffins and coffee from Kona Cafe one morning and that was very good.

We have no complaints about the Poly at all. Mousekeeping was good, service was great, amenities and views were amazing! For our next trip we want to try AKL or the CR (if we do deluxe) just because we want to try a different resort every trip. However, I definitely envision a future trip to the Poly!

TPV room is a Theme Park View room. The room should have an unobstructed view of the Magic Kingdom.

Just returned from a short three day stay. Everything was perfect. :wizard:
We received the building we requested..and even the exact room number :thumbsup2 in Tokelau. I will say, I was slightly dissapointed that we didn't receive our lays and the golf cart treatment to the room when we checked in though. (maybe they don't do this any longer?) However, the resort is beautiful, and the room was impeccably clean. No issues what so ever. View of the quiet pool. Beautiful. :lovestruc

:goodvibes Just back on Saturday from my trip with my Mom (for work....:rolleyes1)

Sunshine - you were above us and to the side a little bit! We were in Tahiti, 2019! Did you get a chance to see those special fireworks on the 16th? (MK closed at 5 for a special event) They were very cool!

We had a wonderful stay at the Poly! The room was great, mousekeeping was fabulous, everything was just wonderful! This was my first time staying in a lagoon view room (last year hubby and I stayed in Tahiti, GV and this past February our family stayed in Samoa, GV - great view of the volcano pool). It was fabulous going to sleep and waking up seeing the castle and Space Mountain (not completely unobstructed as we were lagoon view - not theme park view) but it was still great! We actually got room 2030 and asked to switch as we couldn't see ANYthing at all except about 5 feet of the lagoon and my Mom was slightly disappointed. The CMs were great and had us in another room with no problem. And they certainly didn't have to do it as what we booked was indeed lagoon view. They were very accomodating and in the end, I'm glad my Mom made the call to see if there was anything else available.

We were there for a conference being held at the Gaylord Palms but both wanted to stay at the Poly. Only downside was it was really hard leaving that beautiful place those mornings we had class. I will try to post some pics later on today. :goodvibes

From what I understand you only get the golf cart treatment if you are staying CL.

I was just talking to a co-worker who told me they stayed 6 in one room at the Poly last month. She has 4 young children like me (1 a baby) and she said it was just fine.

I thought this was against the rules and fire code? Why would Disney let her do this? We have always booked two rooms for our family of six.

You can have five + an infant (a Disney infant being two and under), so six all together, at the Poly.

I am so excited about my news that I had to share with my Poly friends....

Our friends called me last night and said "BOOK IT!" So I booked their trip (they were ready with their credit card even ;)) and then I booked ours.
Holy beans, I'm going back!!!! 3rd times a charm. We'll be there 7 (SEVEN!!!) nights in September. I'm so excited!!!! And we used the 40% off. This was only a few dollars off the buy 4/get 3 deal we booked under for April 2009 so I'm stoked to get such a great deal. :cool1::cool1:

I told my kids (I can't keep anything as a surprise and I like to plan with them anyway) and they were so happy they were going back to the Poly. They didn't like BC as much - even the pool - yes, we are the family that doesn't think SAB is all that.

Ok, I'm rambling now but I'm so excited!!!!!!
:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I'm going to change my signature now...

As long as one of your kids is under 3, you can have 6 in the room at Poly. 5+infant.

Yes, as the above posters said - you can have 5+an infant in a Poly room. 2 each in the beds, 1 on the day bed and then a crib or pack and play. My kids are such goof balls - it's just the four of us, so we could just use the beds. But first trip they fought over sleeping on the chair with the little ottoman. Last trip they shared the daybed! Heck, DH and I spread out and each took a bed!

Any suggestions for room requests for Garden View? We would like to be near the pool, not sure what building to ask for. Thanks in advance for any help.

 My niece loved the chair/ottoman combo.

Which pool?

From a fellow Ohioan, we REALLY like Tokelau! It's directly adjacent to the quiet pool and not far from the Volcano pool. Not far from anything acutally!! Very centrally located to the pools, beaches, GCH and the TTC. We particularly like the East side (facing Tahiti not the quiet pool). Adjacent to a nice grassy area, Lagoon is just to the left and it's Very quiet there!

I am soo jealous! we leave in 11 days and my wife slips on a curb and breaks her ankle! she gets an ECV and I have to walk!... it isnt right! :rotfl2:

Just trying to look at the positive side of a terrible incident! I tell her we can change our reservation to when she heals and she says NO ( I think she likes ECV'S) so watch out all! we are getting the fastest one we can find! :lmao:
special advice to anyone going to Disney that will be using an ECV, do not rent it from the parks! we saved $200 renting it from an outside contractor. and they deliver and pick up at resort for free.

all of you Poly Lovers that are going when we are there, take pity, and watch your TOES!
