My trip is paid for! I have requested my first POLY trip LONGHOUSE!! I have 27 days to go...AND IT'S KILLING ME!!!! I want it to be tomorrow!!! I really feel like I am losing my mind!!!

I am super busy at work, and I keep trying to not think about it and consume myself with my job, but every email, every piece of mail, especially my ME tags and My Cinderella Castle Luggage Tags...Brings me right back to the DIS Boards, and yet again....another hour (more like 3 ) is lost in my beautiful World of Disney!

Thank You!!! But I really don't know if I can make it!!!!!! I'm dying over here! hahahaha Ive been to the Disney Store More times in the last month than I have in my life!!! LOL (I really need to remind myself that waiting to leave for Disney in any amount of days is a GOOD problem to have!)

$350 is a nice chunk of change to save but for your honeymoon I would say do it up and enjoy CL. First because you know exactly what building you'll be in, 2nd because if you want to watch fireworks in the lounge in your jammies you can!!, and 3rd because if something goes awry with your other plans/ADRs you have the services of the concierge to help you re arrange and get in where you otherwise may not be able to.

See that's my thought too....we will probably never stay Poly again let alone in a CL room... so a part of me just wants to keep it...

I am one to say save the money. The view is the same and the DXDDP is an unbelievable amount of food. Maybe you could go to the upgrade and then also upgrade your room view?

I would love to upgrade the view instead but the only rooms available with the 40% off is Garden View...I don't think I could ever justify spending full rack rate for an MK view... unless I got a new job..or 6

SO did you book your GVCL room with the room only code?
See we booked Room only and added DDP and tickets and it came up way cheaper then I upgraded it to CL a few weeks later..

SInce I had a package already (first booked FD package) they easily switched my code and changed my resort, adding DDP and tickets and all my dining ADR and my original resort conf # stayed the same and everything I paid went to the balance. Very easy..

I initially got a 40% off pin code in my email back in January. Since all rooms are sold out using that pin code I was thinking of switching the ressie to the "public" 40% off code and downgrading rooms... the only rooms available at the Poly using this public 40% off code are garden view rooms....

O.K. I really do not like this report about work at the pool, considering my stay at the POLY is 22 days away and there has been several rumors reguarding a rehab on the pool in August

I believe they are $4.50 a piece, was there last week at the pool bar but didn't take a picture of the menu or anything.

DH and I just came back to the room after a nice dip in the volcano pool. It's not too crowded and we were able to enjoy the slide and the waterfall and of course the beautiful view!

The DSA that people are now being directed to from the pool os a couple of benches in a nicely shady area between the pool and CC's. I think this area is normally a DSA and not an added temporary one while they are working on in that area. When i asked the lifeguard when the usual one would open he said he had no idea. We can now see an area that has been dug up and some kind of piping is exposed. Again, it doesn't look like any major project is underway, it is only blocked off by some garbage cans.

I'm paying off the remainder of my balance today. 45 days to go! I'm sitting here listening to the Poly music on my iPhone. Is it true they changed the music?!

Woohoo! I also paid my balance on the same day. We'll be there at the same time!

So they know but, they DON'T...14 Days till POR...26 Days till PART II of Operation Blindside at the POLY!!!!

I ordered the lobster--it was good but not great. DH had the surf n turf--again, good but not great. DS had a shrimp dish--he loved it. DS and I shared the crab cake appetizer and it was fabulous. DD had the steak--it was not good. Poor cut of meat, but cooked as she ordered. The potatoes she had were amazing, though. I am not a picky person, but I feel that when I go out for dinner I should get good food. I was disappointed. It was far from the worst meal out I've ever had. The view was great, as was the service.

Thanks for the answer! I'm still debating this one. Not planning on ordering lobster, but good to know we should avoid it. And possibly avoid the steak as well. I've been wondering if we should switch to Citricos. Although I hear it's kind of stuffy.

Hi everyone! I'm back from 12 days at the Polynesian!

Welcome back! Now don't leave us in suspense!

We had our first family vacation at the Poly from July 21-27. I really hope that it is not our last because we had a wonderful time.

Question for those of you who have stayed at the Poly. What was your experience with bus service to AK in the early morning? I'm trying to decide which to take for an 8:05 am ADR at Tusker House in AK.

• Bus from Poly
• Bus from TTC
• Drive our car

I originally was going to drive (especially because I have a double stroller that is great for the park but not for public transportation), but I've been reading about how the AK lot does not always open in time, so now I'm not sure.

Morning everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to ask for some info/your thoughts on the laundry service that the Poly offers. We have never used any laundry service before (stayed CBR, CSR) but I am thinking we might this year. Mostly what we want to do is have all our T-shirts ironed and then maybe some clothes washed on the second week.

Does anyone know the cost for doing this and were the clothes washed properly?

Welcome back. I saw the other thread but didn't dare post because I could already see how it was going. I know that I was confused as to who was supposed to use the beach because of some info on the Disney site itself (disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/beaches).

I cannot believe that in 28 days I will be at the POLY! We haven't been to the Poly since 2006. Way to stinkin long! Last year we had our 10 year anniversary, but I was 8 months pregnant in July during our anniversary, plus one of our children has his birthday just 2 days before our anniversary. So we are celebrating our anniversary in style this year at the Poly! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!

We took our (6) kids to WDW in May and are SO looking forward to this trip where we can hold hands, eat together and not have to take anyone to the bathroom a hundred different times a day!

We're booked with a GV room with an AP rate and the dining plan added. I almost choked when I saw the AP rate was $211. That is like the best rate ever. lol! I haven't put in any requests yet. I am torn. We have stayed in Fiji marina side and Samoa Volcano Pool side. Both were great, but I can't decide which I liked best! Plus there is the part of me that figures there is more chance of getting a celebratory upgrade if I don't have a specific building request. Not that I expect or plan on an upgrade. My most important request is really just to have a walk out balcony or at the very least a ground floor room.
