Aloha all! I'm a long time lurker and Disney World fanatic! After becoming addicted to WDW during my short stint as a Florida resident, I get my fill of Disney by reading the forums and listening to the podcasts every week.

Yep, I live on Oahu! I haven't made it over to Aulani yet, but am hoping to eat at one of the restaurants for my birthday later this month. I also plan on thoroughly "investigating" the gift shop as well.

Two of my friends who are big into Disney said they got some great kama'aina rates for A'ulani. I was there for the groundbreaking and some of the construction and want to get back so bad!!!

Sounds like you enjoyed it! I hope you are able to visit Aulani again soon! It's nice to have something Disney related out here so far away from WDW.

So when you visit WDW do you stay at or visit the Polynesian? Does it remind you of home?

Please report back if you get to eat at Aulani, the entire resort looks great and I think the dining should be amazing.

Thanks for the welcome! I can't wait to eat there! We are going to try the buffet at Aulani, Makahiki, for my birthday. But, I'm very tempted to drive over there this weekend to look around!

We don't stay at the Poly when we visit WDW, only because it feels SO much like Hawaii! They did an excellent job with the theming. I would love to stay at the Wilderness Lodge and pretend I'm cozying up next to a fire in the Pacific Northwest!

Never been to Hawaii...SOOOOO jealous! Can't wait to get there though, and with Aulani it'll be sooner than later!
