Almost to the 7 month mark..not gonna scratch this itch!

How many of you have all your plans set at 11 months then when 7 is around the corner you start thinking about changing resorts?!

We are so set and excited for Kidani in May...but I found myself going over point charts last night for other resorts!

I had to shut the book and put it away!!

If you have never stayed at Kidani before, resist the temptation and keep your ressie where it is.

I plan to make a ressie for early December 2010 at my home resort of AKV but hope to switch to BLT or BWV at 7 months. Unfortunately, that time of year will be tough and I have a very small chance of getting the change. Oh well, I guess it can't hurt to waitlist.

I just booked VWL for next August. This is our home resort and will be our first stay at the villas. I already have my eye on other resorts but DH and the kids want to stay at VWL this year. I talked them into BLT this past trip and I loved it there! I have resort-changitis - I am going to try not to scratch my itch either.

I feel your pain. Be strong! We loved AKL, but have not stayed there since they added the villas. I hear it is really great!

Monday is the first day of my 7 month window and I'm still trying to decide what to do! We have AKV / Kidani booked, but I'm really thinking about trying BLT. At least we have the weekend to decide. Then again, if it's not available, then my decision is made for me. Unless I choose to waitlist...

We 've owned at BWV 's over a year now and have still never stayed there. At the 7 month mark for three trips so far I switched . We stayed at Kidani Village in July and absolutely loved it! It's really wonderful!

This question makes me laugh because our very first resort we bought was SSR in 2007 and have yet to stay there. We book at 11 months and I always think we will not change, but at the 7 month window, I always call to just see what is available. So far we have gotten to stay at some nice resorts. BWV 2 times, VWL once.

We do now own at AKL and BLT and those resorts we have not changed at the 7 months. BLT is coming up in 2 weeks.

UPDATE---> The itch is getting stronger!

I've been reading some so so reviews of the Kilimanjaro Club at Jambo. We have a split stay booked in May. We might give up our 2 nights/ 3 days at Jambo CL and go to BLT instead if available. Our kids have nooo clue about those days at all they think we are going to WDW on the 16th of May!!

When we toured the BLT model at SSR last month they went NUTS!

Sooo to stay club level or to try BLT!!! UGH>>>>tough choice!!

I just got back from a week at BLT it was great, very convienient to everything, my daughther loved the arcade go figure we are in disney & all she cares about is the arcade. That is why I think I will feel a bit isolated at the treehouse...

Did that for our upcoming first trip to Christmas this year.. booked our home resort at 11.. then switched to BCV at the 7 month window..

No itch to scratch with us. So far we've only booked at 7 months (or less) and we always stay somewhere different so that each trip is unique in some way. I think that is important if we're going to go 2 or 3 times a year. We've stayed at Jambo before but we're going to try Kidani in March. That was mostly due to the fact that it's spring break so the points are higher everywhere - but with the tiers at AKV we could book a std. view and basically get another night out of the trip over staying somewhere else. We're "points challenged" so we don't splurge on views or upgrades. My only hesitation about staying at Kidani is the lack of a real CS restaurant but I look forward to trying Sanaa and checking out the new building. (I DO think that was poor planning on DVC's part not to have a CS at Kidani since it's a hefty walk to Jambo. But we'll get over it. If we don't like it then we don't have to go back.)

I say embrace trying out a new place! There will always be next time to go somewhere else!!

I don't know how old your daughter is, but that was our beef when we stayed at the Contemporary in the wing that was torn down with our DSs. We had to pass through the arcade to get to the monorail and it was chore. Our youngest DS loved arcades more than just about anything and it was a major problem for my and DH's sanity. This was in the '80s and it was our worst WDW family trip ever.

We had a long talk about it today and DH thinks it's silly to give up concierge just to try out BLT. We will go for BLT in Jan. 2011 instead! Looks like this is prob. our final decision. We have until Oct. 14 to change our minds again!!!
