Just a quick couple of questions before it gets here...

A) I haven't done this since they changed the interface (got rid of the buttons)... When I click on the link to select activities, will it show me which night is Pirate Night?

B) I also haven't done this with linked reservations... Am I right in understanding that I can book things like Palo Brunch for both rooms at one time? But I need to do the checking in and PAT selection individually? So I'm better off doing the booking of things first and then checking in, right?

Thanks!

OK, during the online check in, if you go to "My Cruise Activities" you'll get a calendar-sort of image. In each window it will show what activities are scheduled. My picture doesn't show the exact wording, but where I've circled "No Confirmed Activities" there will be something like "Onboard Activities" Click on that and it will show what those activities are. One of the nights will show "Pirate night" (or something like that).

You can book excursion/adult dining reservations for anyone in all linked reservations whose check in window is also open. Yes, each reservation must do their "own" check in (PAT).

Thank you so much! I knew when it was the old interface it had what was when in terms of Pirate night, etc. but was not familiar with the new interface. The picture helps a lot!

OMG this is the longest hour EVER!!!!!!!!

Keep checking both! I was able to fully book the activities before the PAT/check-in part even opened (this was in Oct, for our cruise next month). Activities opened right at midnight EST, but check-in/PAT was late. I had read that some times it's the other way around, too.

btw, although the check-in part isn't linked, I still did all of that for my parents' cabin, right after I did mine, so we would have the same PAT. The activities part was much easier, ha!! If you don't have all of their info handy, you can bypass some of it and go back later to enter the proper info. Like - I had no clue what my parents' credit card number is, so I just put cash for them, and a couple days went back and changed it after talking to my mom. So you can totally do the check-in for both cabins, as long as you know the bulk of the info for both. It's just a pain to go through the whole procedure twice.

Good luck getting everything you want!

Thanks! T-minus 8 minutes!!

You do realize most folks can't do squat at 12:01 am usually ?

DCL IT sucks.

Often the sweet spot is 45 - 75 minutes after 12:01 am.

I feel the new website is worse than the old one regarding timely access at midnight.

Use all five browsers on different devices if possible. :p

Good Luck.

Keep us informed.

I was pretty happy when activities booking opened right at midnight, after hearing all the stories of people waiting up for no reason... but I was on PST, so it was no big deal even if that happened. I was finished with everything (activities plus check-in for both cabins) just a bit after 9:30PST. I swear 1/3 of that time was waiting for pages to load. soooo.....sloooooowww....

All done!! Opened up right at midnight - activities anyway. But by the time I booked activities check-in was open.

Only a couple of glitches... I'm splurging on a SB Cabana - yes, there WAS one open - for us to see what all the fuss is about and so we can chill. For some reason it would not let me book it for all of us though we are all well over 18, but when I did just me it let me get it. I wrote down the number to call for modifying it - should I do that sometime before the cruise or just add them on at guest services when on board?

Also, I got both rooms checked in to the point of where I could print the signature pages, but it still says "check in" for my parents. Should I have them go in and re-do theirs tomorrow or sometime?

Successfully got SB Cabana 24, Palo dinner Pirate Night (since we haven't been on the Magic we want to experience the rotational restaurants, and with a 4-night that left Pirate Night to do it), and Palo Brunch on the Sea Day and a PAT of 11:00 for both cabins!!

I don't think you need to do anything. How many people are you booking it for? The basic price is good for 4 people. You'll get 4 wristbands in your room to use. If it's more people, I'd think heading for the Port Adventures desk (that's where cabanas are handled) once onboard would do it. But, if you're more comfortable knowing it's done beforehand - give them a call.

Thanks. It's just three of us. Maybe for billing that's why they only let one cabin sign up?

Well now I'm confused. It lists Pirate Deck Party for both Castaway Cay night AND Key West night. Oh well. I've booked Palo for CC night, so if we miss a rotational one so be it. It'll be nice to come from the relaxation of the Cabana to Palo dinner. :)

Yeah, that seems to be a persistent error - I believe it's Castaway Cay day. What cruise are you on again?

I am so confused why someone else was able to get a port arrival time and we were not. i have logged out, cleared history, tried on three different devices. Oh woo is me!
