Almost mad a BIG mistake

In a moment of temporary insanity, I listed our DVC 2 days ago. It wasn't listed 24 hours and I pulled it off. I thought we needed to sell (for financial reasons). I didn't think long enough about it. Turns out, we don't. DH wasn't too thrilled about selling and I was having so much remorse for the better part of yesterday. I was going crazy I feel much better today as we are still members and planning our next trip. Whew!

What was I thinking?

I can imagine your relief. We were not able to use all of our points for a few years and DH said that we should consider selling. I was physically ill just thinking about it. We ended up renting out points for a couple of years and now things are better. Keep renting or transfering in mind as another option if you need one. Welcome back home!!

No charge for listing. A commission however would be due if they decided to cancel after a buyer was found offering their terms.

Yep. Glad we're still here. I tend to jump the gun and freak out before I give myself enough time to really sit and think things out. Luckily, there was no charge for listing. They probably thought I was crazy because 24 hrs didn't even go by. I'm wondering if others have done the same thing.

Regardless, I'm now back to planning my next trip and driving DH bonkers with my plans.

We did all the paper and didn't send it in. Business has been much better but that could always change and it could still be a possibility. Thankfully we are planning a big trip around memorial day for a BCV trip so I can obsess on that for awhile!

Wow, I've heard a lot on these boards about impulse buying . . . but this is the first I've heard of impluse selling!

But seriously, I go through periods of panic about finances too and the thought of selling DVC crosses my mind. But when I'm more rational I realize I'm just fine.
