Allure stateroom outlets? Coffee charge?

Trip is getting closer and currently one of us is needing a heating pad for aches at night. Is there an outlet close to the bed to allow this? Plus the last time I sailed Royal was 10+ years ago. Back then after dinner coffee was free but has that changed with the less "inclusive" cruise fare? If so what is the charge?

There is a plug in directly behind the bed. You may have to pull out the matteress, and you will find it there. beside the nightstand.

Coffee, Tea, Ice Tea, Lemonade, is included in your cruise fare... If you want "Starbucks" branded coffee you will have to pay extra. There is a Starbucks on both the Allure and the Oasis. I think that the Starbucks is priced the same as one the mainland.

Yes, it was very similarly priced, and I seem to remember they even take the Starbucks card (they can't scan your phone if you use the app, but will punch in the number from it). It is well worth it once in awhile as the ship's coffee is not always great.

Regarding the heating pad, though, officially they are on the list of prohibited items, according to the website, because they consider them a fire hazard. That doesn't mean you can't get away with bringing one, just keep in mind it may get taken away when boarding (and returned at the end of the cruise).

Great to know they do take the Starbucks cards as I got a few to give to my family once we got on.

I hadn't thought about the heating pad being prohibited but it is worth it being confiscated. Really hope it isn't as her pain could make the trip unbearable

Another question just to verify where you can use drink packages for the alcoholic drinks? The main dining room and speciality restaurants would be included but not room service, correct? If I could get room service it would be no brainier for a mimosa or Bloody Mary in a.m.! But if I could in the restaurants still might be a thought worth considering as I like a glass if wine with dinner. And one after. Then there are my Long Island ice teas in afternoon. So I think at that pint with a bottle or two of water a day and a soda I should come out about even with OOP. Though I would skip soda if it wasn't included. Boy am I long winded tonight!!! Sorry, but if anybody does read this all I appreciate the replies

I WISH you could use the drink package for room service, but no such luck. You can use it at any other restaurant: dining room, Windjammer, specialty restaurants, and of course at any bar.
Sounds like you'd just about break even with the Premium package, assuming you kept that up for the whole cruise. It can be difficult to do on port days. I have had that package for 2 cruises (out of...2! ), but would still have to consider it on a case-by-case basis for future cruises.

BTW, there is no such package on Disney cruises, correct? I have tried to find info on it but no luck, just the wine packages.

There is no such package on DCL, but you can take as much booze as you can carry on per person to consume in your stateroom. Many do this and even get more in port.

You mean they won't take away whatever I buy on my Nassau stop?

Sorry, did not mean to divert the topic, as I know this is the Royal Caribbean forum. But RC will take away whatever you buy, and give it back at the end of the cruise...IF they see it....I totally would've been able to bring half of mine back on board last time if my friend hadn't POINTED OUT TO ME in front of them that I had some in my other bag. LOL. I had a drink package so I didn't care, it's the hassle of checking it and then getting it back more than anything else. Of course sometimes they do check bags and/or x-ray them, so then there is no bringing any booze on board. Not sure if it depends on the port or the ship. It was more of an honor system in Nassau on Grandeur...considering what they were selling just outside the terminal, they really should have been checking things more closely. lol
