See post 11 for the rest of the story.

We're retired, (no work, but no income either) so we really need to think before we spend frivolously.

This weekend, I'm going on a scrapbooking retreat to an area where they actually have scrapbook STORES. What else would any normal, redblooded scrapper want more than money to spend in said stores?

Yesterday was our anniversary - 32 continuous years, so he ought to know me by now, there is no excuse. What did he do? He ordered flowers, on line, from FTD. You can imagine what that cost:headache: But, they didn't come. So he tried to cancel them dad burned flowers are still not here at 11:20 the next day!

So now, I don't feel like I can spend as much as I might have had he not spent on the flowers. I'm leaving around noon tomorrow, so I'll get to enjoy them less than 24 hours and they'll probably be dead before I get back.

I don't know who to be madder AT - my husband, FTD, or FEDEX, but right now - it's ALL OF THE ABOVE!

First of all, I'd like to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 32 years is awesome! I hope I can say that some day!

and hugs to you!

Did he pay by credit card? Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. I think that is acceptable since FTD obviously did not come thru on their end of the deal.

And I know this probably doesn't help, but.......men sometimes really don't understand. Sometimes, in advance of a holiday, I hint heavily! I have already told my DH that "if you or the kids are looking for a mother's day gift for me, I'd really enjoy a gift card to the LSS."

:flower3: Have a good day!

Bless him for remembering, and shame on FTD and FedEx for not delivering. At this point, I would call the credit card company and FTD to dispute the charges. The flowers never arrived when they were supposed to. Then you will have to console yourself with lots of shopping and FUN this weekend.

Only one more wake up and that one, for you will be at LovingtheMouse's House. :woohoo:

See ya Friday for lunch.

Hugs! I agree with Lisa and Grumpy's Gal- call and dispute!

congrats on the anniversary? Is it the 24th or 25th? Mine is the 25th! But a mere 9 years for me!

They finally showed up at 2 pm. The fedex guy says that happens A LOT! FTD is the worst. The flowers are gorgeous, Springy, pink tulips and lilies. I've made a command decision to bring them with me to the crop so everyone can enjoy them.

Our anniversary is the 24th and, actually, it was the 32nd anniversary of our 'continuous' years of marraige. We've really been married off and on for 40 years, come December, :goodvibes. Thank heavens - immaturity isn't terminal - only expensive. (Remind yourselves of that when your teenagers and young adults are being particularly difficult:rotfl2:)

Happy Anniversary!!
We will be celebrating our 15th this year, celebrating it at Disney! :woohoo:

Did you end up calling FTD? They really should credit your account. DH had ordered me roses one year for Valentine's Day (Proflowers, I think), and they delivered them in a BLIZZARD, leaving them at the front door at my office...Dur...They froze and got all burned. So, they resent them, but I'm sure if I had just said to credit the account, they would have.

Either way, Happy Anniversary! And, hope you have a great weekend.

If they credit the account you can spend more:cool1: So far this year I've "received" a new dishwasher for Valentines (old one broke) and TV for the bedroom (old one broke) for my birthday. Add insult to injury, stupid TV also needed my birthday money from those sensible female relatives who know I want clothes and scrap stuff rather than stupid white goods. AND although the kids made cards for mother's day (we have it on the original date - it was a church occasion in the olden times) I didn't get any flowers or anything, except from my MIL - in return for me cooking huge Sunday turkey lunch:mad:

So my belated mother's day gift is charged to my CC and coming courtesy of scrappindeals :lmao:

At least he remembered! DH always has to be reminded - I wouldn't mind that so much if our anniversary wasn't the day before his birthday:rotfl:

The scrapbook retreat was FAB! Wonderful! Fun!

And, I took the flowers, which we all got to enjoy for the weekend. This morning, I lugged them over to the dining hall and gave them to the kitchen staff who had made us so delicious and nutritious meals all weekend- I LOVE giving flowers to people who don't expect it, so that made me happy happy happy. THEN when I got home, dh said FTD had sent him an email saying they'd refund the money. . . so I don't feel the least bit guilty for having bought a new quickutz alphabet :rotfl: I KNEW you'd understand!
