Instead of paying for travel insurance offered by the airline at time of booking, I decided to use Allianz website and book directly (Jet Blue uses Allianz). Mousesavers recommends Allianz.
Under the Classic Plan, kids are free. Cost to insure the four of us was slightly less than the airline and seemed to include a lot more (like medical bills, etc) AND I am able to include another $1000 in non-refunable expenses (we are most likely going to book a Getaways thru Interval International for our hotel). If you buy policy within 14 days of 1st payment there is no pre-existing medical clause.
Has anyone used Allianz? Was your claim handled well and did you receive what you contracted for?
