BACKGROUND:
One of my DD's has allergies. We discovered this when she had a pretty bad reaction one weekend to something. Thru looking around the house, I was able to determine that a change in laundry detergent caused the problem. I rewashed everything in the entire house, starting with DD's clothes and sheets. She has been seen by an allergist, but we are still in the testing phase due to her age and a cross country move.
Last week (Spring Break) and over Easter, we went to Vegas to visit DH who is there for a couple of weeks. The first night I give DD a bath and within 10 minutes she has a reaction to the towel. Thankfully, I had her allergy meds with me, since she only takes it "as needed" right now. Fortunately the hotel worked with us, and was able to get us new sheets for the bed she was sleeping in as well as towels that were not washed in the hotel detergent. And for the remainder of our stay, they gave us the "special" sheets and towels.
QUESTION:
We are booked at POP for 1 night, then AKL for 7 nights in Sept. How would you go about letting the hotel(s) know of our issue. It is not currently on our ressie because it never occurred to me that it would be a problem (DOH!). We are booked thru AAA. Does anyone know if Disney has hypoallergenic sheets and towels available? Or should I just plan on bringing a set from home?
Any thoughts or advice would be welcome.
TIA.
