Allergies?

The last week I've been feeling kind of "off". I wouldn't call it dizziness, but rather a feeling like my head is kind of floating a bit. Also seem to be having a tough time focusing my eyes. My vision is fine, and my eyes were just checked last month. I don't wear glasses. Normally, when pollen is bad I'll get itchy or watery eyes, but those haven't been bothering me. Just this feeling of being off. No pain or discomfort either. I do suffer from stress and anxiety though.

Does this sound like it could be allergies? Anyone else that can relate to what I'm feeling?

Yes, definately!!! My seasonal allergies last year showed up as vertigo, not runny nose, itchy eyes, nothing but dizziness and nausea. It was awful! I was in and out of the doctor's office several times till she finally sent me to an allergist to see if he could do anything for me.

I ended up having an MRI to make sure I didn't have something wrong up in my sinuses and an allergy test run. I'm okay now, taking prescription Xyzal. Seems to be doing the trick for the most part.

You might try something like Claritin or Zyrtec. Also dramimine/meclazine for that floating feeling.

I've been taking Claritin for about 4 days. Hasn't helped a lot, but I've been feeling slightly more on. It's the oddest feeling to describe.

I know how you feel! You might need to try something a little stronger. And I definately recommend something like dramamine/meclazine to help with the dizzy feeling.

I'm thinking I might have an ear infection or something to do with the ears. My ears were popping quite a bit today, and they've been a bit achey as well. Can't get into allergy doctor for 2 weeks, and ENT even longer.

Same thing happened to me last month..I had a vertigo attack one day, I always get this weird dizzy feeling... its in the back of my head- hard to explain- kindof floating like you said, my ears keep popping, and my 'head' rings... I finally went to an ENT and he said its all due to stress

My allergies are horrible this year! I take half of a 10mg of Zytrec and it works great. Otherwise I'd be wheezing, coughing, you name it!

damone, sounds like allergies to me. The first time it happened to me though I freaked out. I didn't know if my brain was messed up. You feel in a fog, thoughts can get scattered, Sometimes there is a little brain swelling with allergies.
Believe it or not, good old aspirin is wonderful because it's an anti inflammatory and the reactions are from inflammation.
