Allegiant and a Sanford Hotel

We are considering flying Allegiant into Sanford for our next trip. It comes in late and leaves very early, so we are considering staying overnight in Sanford. Can anyone recommend a hotel near the airport? Thanks.

There is a very nice Holiday Inn Express in Sanford on US 17/92 just a few miles from the terminal and I believe they have a shuttle if you don't have a rental car. If you want nicer, follow TOLL 417 (Seminole Expressway) north and look for the exit for CR 46A. There is a Marriott, Westin and others along I-4 at CR 46A. The address for those properties if you're looking them up on hotel websites is Lake Mary, Florida.

We did this a year ago in June and stayed at a LaQuinta Inn a few miles east of the Sandford airport. It worked out fine...nothing spectacular, but clean and good breakfast for a good price.
