I have tried calling for hours, on hold since the 28th last month, I have Instagram, Facebook and twitter and no response.
Their own Chat doesn't work. I have sent an email and still waiting. Has anyone else having a problem talking to anyone???

Consider that their official FAQ says if you have concerns after completing travel, sent them snail mail.

Probably not good.

They are the budget of the budget carriers. (I got burned when their checked baggage weight allowance was 10lbs lower than any other carrier. Luckily I was able to spread some load around, but it was close).

I'm trying to find out more about the Veterans Honor program.
How do you let them know a Veteran is your spouse or you??.
This is crazy I've tried all day.
Maybe they'll answer the email before the end of the week.

Forgive me if this is a dumb idea, but I wonder if this is a situation where OP would benefit from using a travel agent. Make the travel agent deal with it. And if you live near an airport which Allegiant services, a local travel agent might have already dealt with the situation for someone else and might already know what to do.

A simple Google Search says you show your qualifying document at the airport.

“It’s easy. To reserve bags, in-cabin pet, or to obtain a printed boarding pass, our ticket agents will verify your ID and add the optional items and services listed above on your itinerary.

If you have already paid for items which qualify for a military waiver, once we’ve confirmed your identification at the airport, contact our call center at your convenience to arrange a credit for eligible fees.”

Thanks everyone for your help and information on this.:wave2:pixiedust:

Update:
Allegiant replied to my email.
They have refunded my husband checked Bag. Didn't asked for a Refund.
Just a better explanation of how the program work(booking reservation for Veteran - they never answered that part). They stated that he needs to show his ID when we checkin at the Airport.

I always laugh at companies who brag about their wonderful 'customer service' and then in the case of Allegiant there isn't even a way to talk to someone live when you have a real issue. Clearly, you can find the answer to common questions on their website, but if you ever have an issue that isn't routine................"well we can't be bothered taking phone calls"............LOL.

One of those budget airlines where things work fine until they don't.................then you are out of luck.
