Does anyone have personal experience using this? I have been watching prices and the fares are good one way so I was thinking about booking. If we decide not to go I should be able to cancel and get a credit for 1 year from my purchase date.

Anyone tried to change the ticket because the fare changed? Can this be done? The "trip flex" idea sounds great, but the actual practice cannot be that easy.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

TIA.

I am hearing some not so good things about them. Like canceling flights altogether weeks before a trip....there are other threads here, so just research before you book. Good Luck!

Did a google search and did not find a lot on the trip flex.

We have used Allegiant many times with no problems of canceled flights (fingers crossed). They only fly in/out 2 days a week so maybe they can fill.

I would love to try SW but the drive time goes from about 20 minutes to 1hr45min from home.

Well, I will try for the SW code and make the drive. SW seems so much more user friendly.

Thanks again.

In theory, Allegiant trip flex is a good idea.

Practically, it's nearly impossible to cancel itinerary. "Cancel" link on website does not work, or freezes, or doesn't take, and "cancel" link disappears altogether at about 36 hours prior to trip. Phoning in to customer service line is nearly impossible with wait times of 40-60 minutes, or longer, only to be disconnected.

This begs the question: "is this part of the set-up: sell ticket, sell insurance, and make it impossible to exercise this option because it is nearly impossible to cancel?"
