Okay, we've decided to fly Allegiant this fall since we live near a smaller airport and they can provide us with non-stop service (a requirement my Dad has imposed if I want him to go!) So, when I went to book today I see that they charge an $11 per person, per leg fee to pick your seats. Has anyone gone without pre assigning their seats? Did you have kids with you? How well did this work? I am leaning towards just winging it. Who's not going to want to trade seats when they are sitting next to me screaming two year old by themselves????? Thanks for the input!

We've never done the assigned seat thing. A couple of times we've gotten 3+1, where the two kids shared a row with me and DW sat with a stranger, but realistically, no agent is going to put a little kid by a stranger.

We have had no problem not booking seats. We always get someone really nice at the ticket counter and they always have accomadated our needs. I would just get there early because you would have a better chance getting the seats together.
