All-Time Favorite Restaurant

The Kahiki!! How great!! Pretty old school, was my absolute favorite as a kid! Todd, the guy who started Max & Erma's, is a personal friend, and I have him send me the Santa Fe salad all of the time!!

However, my favorite resturant of all times is Commnander's Palace, New Orleans...... Vegas is OK, but there is something about N.O. that is unreplacable!!!

If you turn right once on the island, it is on the right. Seems like it is down a good ways, maybe right before the entrance into the park.
I checked with DH, it's called the Sea Ranch. I've never eaten there, but apparently it's THE place to eat for seafood on the Island-especially if it's on the company's account. Apparently, it isn't cheap.

There is a lttle hole in the wall in Wheaton Illinois called Mai Thai. They make me a Panang Curry as if they were making it for themselves. (They do this on special request) It is just the way I like it, Liquid fire.

Oh Man.... Now I need Panang Curry

That sounds about right. It's been 3 yrs I guess. we were on SP for a wedding and decided to make it our summer vacation and stayed for a week. The restaurant had a nice writeup in the magazine we received from the tourist bureau. I had the best oysters I'v ever eaten in my life. I know the desserts were great too, but I don't remember what they were.

Formal: Bern's Steakhouse, Tampa
Casual: Moose's Tooth Pizza & Brewery, Anchorage
Category All It's Own: Don't know the name, but there is a place in Key West where all the tables are set up on small patios about 20 ft. apart from eachother ON THE BEACH. It is a linen, china, chrystal type place, where the formally dressed waiters trudge through the sand to bring your food. Very Romantic!

I'm from New Orleans and its hard to narrow it down, but here goes: Muriel's in the French Quarter. I love the atmosphere and the food is simply delicious. The decor is dark wood floors that creak, lots of candlelight and brick walls. Beautiful and old world. They even have a "ghost table" set up when you first walk in the restaurant. It is a table for two with candlelight, bread and wine. Really fun.

Yu's Mandarin in Schaumburg, IL. Best chinese food you've ever had in your life!
