All the sudden I want to eat everything!

OK, been on Atkins now 43 days, yet to cheat. I've been doing well as far as not wanting to eat alot, not craving sweets, etc. once I got into ketosis.

Last two days all I can think about is sweets and I want to eat, eat, eat! What is up with that?

So odd, this diet has been a good appetite suppressor so far until now...

I caved in and ate a Atkins bar. Actually one today and one yesterday. :( I just had to have something sweet! I know I'll regret it cause that was what was causing me to stall before.

Guess it is better than digging into that darn Easter basket still sitting in the kitchen stuffed to the top. Man, how long is it going to take my kids and hubby to eat that stuff?!?

It is like a little devil looking at me every so often...

I must not give in! I have to go to a wedding this Saturday and I am now able to ~squeeze~ into an outfit. I really didn't want to have to go buy something in a larger size. Funny, it looks OK, but if I have ANY water weight I probably won't be able to sit down that night. LOL ;)
 
I bet it is close to TOM.I am that way when its that TOM.I will eat everything in sight.

I hear ya - I promised myself I could have a bite of something once I finished up the zucchini. I definitely wanted LESS after the zucchini but still wanted something! Good luck!
 

I hear you! I had a day like that yesterday! I don't do Atkins, so I don't really know much about what you can and cannot eat. For me I find that when I want something sweet the sugar free jellos ( or as we call them in the Uk Jellies! ) really help. I also have the low calorie hot chocolate when I want some chocolate.

I now recognise that when I feel like this it is hormonal, and as such the feeling will pass in a few days, so I just hang in there until it goes away.

Good luck hanging in there. Just think how good you're going to look in that outfit on Saturday :hyper:
 
Fight your way through the cravings. We all have them. I had a day like that about, oh, 10 minutes ago :laughing:
 
Interesting that the chocolates make your weight loss stall. I'm going to try giving them up for a while. I just put Atkins bars back into my diet, but I still have 50lbs to lose and am not ready to stall.

There were times that I had cravings after doing ATkins for a while. I found that if I drank water, most of the time my cravings would go away. Or if I eat something and feel full, the cravings would go away.

Just be careful of hidden sugars. I would think they could start
the cravings.

I've been having those lately and my weight has been plateauing. Just use your best judgement and make alternative choices like fruit, low carb cookie, low cal drinks or more water.

It will go away and hence, so will the lbs.!

I've been hungry all day and I gave into the cravings - don't ask.

Anyway, I will try to be good the rest of the day and get back on track tomorrow. I don't know what it is, but nothing seemed to do the trick. TOM has not been the case for many years, so that's not it.

It happens to the best of us!
 
I get like this once a month for about 3-4 days. I want to eat everything in sight and am still hungry!! Nothing seemed to make me feel full. Someone gave me the suggestion of eating lots of protein - eggs & meat - when I feel like that and to drink more water than usual. I tried it last week and it worked. I got filled up & actually felt a little sick drinking so much water, so at least I wasn't craving everything in sight anymore :)
 
Well, I stuck thru it and despite giving in and eating SEVERAL Atkins bars over the last few days I woke up this morning and my keto stick was BARELY lavender, I got on the scale with a big frown on my face and behold I lost two extra pounds!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Weird, but good! One more pound to go and I can change my clippie to 15 pounds. :teeth:
 
Glad to hear you fought your way through those cravings.

Did you know that if the ketostick changes color at all it means you are in ketosis? The color doesn't matter. There is no "degree" of ketosis. Honest. Read all about it <b>HERE</b>

I'm so happy and proud for you. You resisted that Easter candy <i>and</i> lost two more pounds. Way to go!
 
If you're REALLY craving, sometimes a little extra fat can help... amazing but true.

Try a couple tablespoons in your favorite soda (I love it in Diet Rite Tangerine or root beer!).

Or, go to the Eating Healthy board and get the recipe for "peanut butter pudding" definitely a shot of fat to satisfy, with a little sweetness to kill that sweet tooth.

Sometimes an ounce or two of cream cheese (alone, or mixed with a little Splenda & cinnamon or sugar-free DaVinci syrup) can be just what the doctor ordered.

And none of those bar-induced stalls. ;)
