We are heading there in 18 days! WOOHOO :bounce: and I want to start thinking about my request fax. I was hoping some of you that have stayed there before can make some recommendations.
I'd like to be near the pool and food court (without paying for it...LOL) I have a walking disability and I know at days end, I will be pooped! Which would be the best place to try to get? Should I get a first or second floor? Do you notice a noise difference in either. What about end rooms? Also, is there enough room for a rollaway (if available) or air bed? The kids don't mind sleeping together, but if there's room, why not.
Also, do you think 4 days advance to fax would be sufficient? Any other tips or info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!
Thanks soooo much!!:D :D :D :D :D :D

When DH and I stayed at the ASMu, we were in the Calypso buildings, once in #1 and once in #10. It is my understanding that these are now the "preferred" rooms.

I would request the Jazz Inn, if it is not considered a "preferred" room. It is close to the pool, food court, bus stop.

As for the floor you request- we have been on the third floor both times, and it was very quiet. I'm not sure about the first or second. Although, a first floor room would mean that you wouldn't have to wait for an elevator or climb any stairs.

There is probably enough room for a twin air bed. I don't think you would be able to fit anything bigger.

And, I think four days would be enough notice to send the fax.

Have a great time!!! Give Mickey a hug for me!

If you don't want to pay prefered prices I recommend Jazz Inn. I like to be on the third floor because there is no noise from above. We had a room that was the first room on our wing and I liked it a lot. It seemed very close and after a long day we only had a short walk from the elevator.

The rooms are on the small side but if you put an air mattress down you could slide it under the bed during the day. I don;t think roll aways are available.

Just keep in mind, without paying for preferred, you can request a certain building. But that is a request, no guarantee.
In January I also requested Jazz. We got Rock Inn instead. But I was glad we got Rock Inn, since all the cheerleaders and soccer teams were booked in Jazz.
So, even if you don't get just what you want. It may be better than getting what you asked for! :)
I always request the third (top) floor, backside, corner room.
Although a corner room could really be bad. So far we have been lucky. All of the corner rooms have either been away from a parking lot and close to an elevator or stairs.
Even the building fartherest away in ASMu, most likely would be closer than where you may stay in a mod, in relation to the central area.
