All Star vs POP

We've just booked flights for May 09 and want to stay at WDW from 1st - 8th. We've stayed at ASMo 4 times now and kids love it but we're toying with a change this time. We're leaning towards POP but still like the AS. We've read some posts that talk about the ASMo in need of their refurb but others about POp being more spread out and rooms quite a distance from the bus stops. Any preferences to help us decide?

We have stayed at both many times. The AS resorts do have a better layout as far as walking to main buildings/bus stops, etc.

Pop has the inside bar for when the pool bar is closed during thunder/lightening storms.

They are in two different counties, so one of them is cheaper per night because of the tax on the room.

I think AS food court is better. Pop is always a madhouse.

From other's reports this is gone...turning it into a package pick-up area for guests...

LOVE POP!! Staying there again (for the 4th time) in 24 days! I stayed in ASMo in December of 2006 and was perfectly content there. I just prefer POp because I don't have any extra bus stops.

Never stayed at AS but LOVE POP!!The food court is only really busy at breakfast time the rest of the time it's fine!The buses are definately better at Pop with only 1 stop. I hear within the next 2 years they will have suites at Pop in the Classic years !!

Pop no longer has an inside bar, It closed. Pop is the slightly cheaper one. From what I have read, most people like Pop's food better.

Pop has more guests. They have 4 floors while AS has 3. More guests = more crowded. After they first opened we went for President's day weekend. We waited for 4 buses to MK before were were able to board. ASMu and ASsports are newly refurb'd plus ASMu has games at the main pool throughout the day

We have not stayed at an AS for some time. But have at Pop, and have another stay at Pop coming up in September.
Never had a bad stay or issue at any of them.
But as someone mentioned, Pop is newer, and looks it to me. And I really like the grounds at Pop much more so than any AS.

We have stayed at Pop once and ASMo numerous times. IMHO, they are both great.

We prefer the Movies, because we like the theming much better. I read a lot of people reporting transportation problems, but we have never had any problems in all these years.

They are both really WONDERFUL though I just LOVE anywhere in Disney.

We have stayed at Sports several times, Music once and POP once. Overall, I prefer Sports. It is smaller than POP, and closer in distance from most rooms to buses and restaurant( I think this is just because it is laid out a bit different ).

But prefer POP over Music. POP definitely has advantages over All Stars when it comes to buses. POP also has huge dining area, more choices. But it is more crowded in that area. If you stay at POP, pay a few $$s more for the preferred room. 50s bldg is real close to buses.

You will have fun no matter your choice!
