I've read that the All Star resorts share a shuttle service sometimes. Does that still happen? Would there be separate shuttles for each All Star resort in August?

Also, would there be any event etc happening in August that would cause large groups of youthful guests to stay at any of the All Star resorts (specifically movies)?

Thanks!

When we were there in Jan (marathon weekend) yes, the resorts shared buses. I really can't recall details but I do recall stopping at the other resorts (we were at ASMo).

Yes, they sometimes share. It's only during the slow times of the day. We have a total of 45 nights across all 3 All Stars and have been on a shared bus 3 times. There were maybe 6 other people on the bus each time.

I’ve stayed at all star movies twice in the past three months and the only time I had to share a bus was in the middle of the day. In the morning and at park close each has designated buses.

We have well over 300 nights at the All-Star Resort and have seen about everything and it is very, very rare to share buses at park open and also rare to share at park close(but it can happen).

As mentioned, sharing is almost exclusively in the late AM/early PM hours when there is just not enough "traffic" to justify running 3 buses to each Park just for the All-Star Resort.

For example, during our trip in January at All-Star Sports we arrived at DHS on a shared bus around 4:00 PM and after we exited the bus and were walking to the park entrance,we overheard a Cast Member "radioing in"----"The All-Stars are now split." meaning she had just replaced the one "All-Star Resort" stop with individual Sports,Music and Movies stops.

We don't find the bus sharing at the All-Star Resort to be a "big deal"(we feel that the multiple stops at the Moderates are worse).

And just a note for anyone new to the All-Star Resort-the Blizzard Beach and ESPN Wide World of Sports buses ALWAYS share.

We stayed at Sports in 2016. We only shared for the parks coming back to the room in the afternoon a couple times. We never picked up other resorts when going to the park (even in the slower afternoons). The only time we had an issue was the bus leaving DS. It was shared for the 3 and there were probably 5 or 6 busloads of people waiting. The bus we took there was packed, but I think everyone at all 3 resorts got on. I wouldn't worry about sharing.

You should be in good shape-no Cheer/Dance comps in August and The 15s will have headed South by then for the most part.:)

We have rode the busses when they don't share and do...its really not an issue...we actually could get off at sports and cut across...to Music. Just as fast as getting off at Music, either way. I love the bus system. Its free and never really any issues.

I was there in September. Stayed at movies. The only times we DIDN'T share was right at park opening and at night. Movies is also last on the pickup/dropoff list so if you don't plan ongoing from rope drop to close you will be sharing and most likely standing.

Your experience was an anomaly. And it happened during their worst driver shortage in over a decade. OP won't have the same experience.

I would live to believe that but the reason I had never stayed there before is because when I was doing research and reading vlogs everyone would point to the frequent bus sharing as a con for the all star resorts. This is going back to 2013. I only stayed there because it was a last minute trip and POP was booked.
